If you want to game, it's better to spend the extra $50 on the $600 HP that Walmart has.
https://www.walmart.com/ip/HP-Pav.../943933730

They are a Ryzen 3500 (6-core) with a GTS 1650 Super. A 1650 Super is roughly twice the graphical performance of a 5700G.

It looks like Walmart's website sells out of these very quickly and only 3rd party sellers are listed there. But if you can find them at your local store they are sold for $599.

I am looking to get a gaming PC for VR use.
Curious, Is the posted PC good for VR games?
How does it compare for Oculus II use to below

https://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilio...YRSL&psc=1

Graphics cards are what makes a gaming machine stand-out, of these two cards which is better
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, or AMD Radeon RX 5500?

I was told RTX 3000s series and Radeon 6000s series are the op of the line.

Is it necessary to get either?
You would not be able to put the RTX 3000 series or Radeon 6000 series in this machine. The power supply is probably 250-300 watts and would shutdown the PC with either RTX 3000 or Radeon 6000 series installed.

Edit: the Power Supply is 310 watts much less than the recommended for either RTX 3000 or Radeon 6000 GPU.

Not really. Keep an eye out for dedicated graphics cards and room for expansion. You're not going to get very many games installed with a 250 GB ssd.

The CPU is not yet in CPUBenchMark. Does anyone know what performance range the CPU is in?

Yes, there is a bracket to install either a 2.5" or 3.5" drive with SATA and power cables already run and ready to go.

The machine does only come with one stick of RAM. If you add a second you can get a small performance bump.

Its 8 cores 16 threads like a 5800x but has the clock speeds and TDP of a 5600x (4.6 GHz turbo). Should fall between the two -- faster than a 5600x but slower than a 5800x. It does have less L3 cache as well (16 MB vs 32 MB). Its double what the 4000g series so it should be fine but we will have to wait for reviews to get the exact performance.

I was also wondering this. Was gonna throw my older NVIDIA card in if it fit but it looks like a small case.
The bigger issue is power supply. If this is built similar to the previous gen Ryzen 7 4700g APU machines like the the TP01-1160 [hp.com], it would have a 180w gold power supply without a pci express power connector.

So unless your card draws power only from the slot, I would not bank on it working.

Where do you see that it's 310w? That's actually decently respectable and would most likely allow for a RTX 3060 that's not pre-overclocked.

If I recall correctly, it has power supply issues if upgrading.
