If you want to game, it's better to spend the extra $50 on the $600 HP that Walmart has.
https://www.walmart.com/ip/HP-Pav.../943933730

They are a Ryzen 3500 (6-core) with a GTS 1650 Super. A 1650 Super is roughly twice the graphical performance of a 5700G.

It looks like Walmart's website sells out of these very quickly and only 3rd party sellers are listed there. But if you can find them at your local store they are sold for $599.

This is why it's called a desktop.

Tell your mom to stay off the porn sites, they're known to have malware.

I'm in kind of the same boat. I use 4 monitors. I'm probably going to put an old RX 460 in it since it's relatively low power. It doesn't even have an external power connector. That will give me another HDMI as well as a DisplayPort and DVI. My other thought was that I could use some old Displaylink docks I have if the RX 460 doesn't work out.

If you are wondering whether this pc is enough for advanced web browsing and facebook posting, I got 22088 multicore cpumark and 3387 single thread cpumark. This is with stock equipment, single channel memory.
That is almost identical to Tyzen 5 5600X, 22210, with 3383 single thread cpumark.
But this one has 2 more cores and 4 more thread. I wonder if single channel really slow down the performance?

You can turn this into a nice mini gaming pc if you can find one of the 400W to 500W power supplies HP sells that are made for this form factor. I've seen some of them on eBay.

I got one from local store today and so far quite happy with its performance.

How to turn it into a server that can provide VM service of ~4 VMs?
Just need some website to get me into right direction.

My friend just bought this desktop. Which monitor is the best for this computer ? This desktop cannot run 4K monitor right ?

He bought a GIGABYTE - AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT EAGLE 12GB GDDR6 PCI Express 4.0 Gaming Graphics Card from Best Buy. Is it easy to install this graphic card in this desktop? We are not computer expert…just checking to see whether it is easy to install..

Great deal if you just smack a gpu in there and can game right away.

Could use another SSD for more storage & a matching ramstick for dual channel.

Is there an adapter so we can use normal power supply?
I can't say for 100% since I didn't get this, but even if you could "fit" a standard or SFX PSU in there, the wiring is usually the biggest issue. Typically the motherboard will have different, proprietary cabling. So you would have to go through with a multimeter and figure out what's what and be pretty handy with a soldering iron. Like I was saying previously, it's usually not worth getting a system like this if you plan on doing a lot of upgrades.

Already been discussed over and over in this thread, but adding a GPU probably isn't the best of ideas. Earlier in the thread some people speculated that this had something like a 300w PSU, but if you read the last few pages you'll see that people who bought this confirmed that it's only 180w. That's really to low to add even a 1650 and if you go lower than that, what's the point? The onboard graphics are better than a really low end card.

What is the AMD Radeon integrated graphics in it?
Vega 8. I *think* Navi is supposed to be in the works for their next generation of CPUs with integrated graphics, but for now their still pushing Vega.

I got one of these. I tried 2x8gb 3200 sticks of GSKILL from another computer (F4-3200C16D-16GVKB). They kind of worked but not at 3200. The speed dropped to 2133 and there is no way to adjust that (enable xmp) in bios. Still, they helped a LOT with graphics performance. I ran Unigine Heaven benchmark on defaults and got 24 fps on stock 1 dimm at 3200, and that increased to 33.5fps on 2 sticks at 2133.
I am thinking that GSKILL requires 1.35v voltage and this mobo only runs at 1.2v. So, I ordered another stick of 1.2v 16GB 3200 TEAMGROUP TED416G3200C2201 to see if that will work at 3200. Fingers crossed. I suspect that would bump up graphics even higher.
I'd be interested in your results once your 1.2v ones arrive.
