No. That being said I have them and love them. They're great but to answer your question, coming from someone with 2 of these, no they're not as good. 😞

It's actually a good comparison to the pb2000. The PB2000 hits lower but this Klipsch will have higher output in the chest thump region. This Klipsch is always regarded as the one Klipsch sub to buy and at $580 I'd say it is a really good deal. This will outperform an equally priced PB-1000.

Edit: I'm going to get flamed so hard for saying I'd take any Klipsch over any SVS. I'm ready for it, lol. Let's go!

Not a huge SVS fan, but you're sorta wrong. The PB2k is 1500w peak power and 550 RMS. Chest thump region??? Is that another way of saying it doesn't go as low? If this is a sealed sub it's really more designed for tighter non HT sound anyways.
Chest thump region = it has higher db(output) at higher bass frequencies in the chest thump frequency spectrum e.g. 40-60Hz. Whereas the PB2000 has a little more output down low. The Klipsch is ported and rated down to 18Hz.

I got my duals for $650🤣 but to be fair, SVS customer service is on point, with this Klipsch sub, you definitely ARE buying the name/line, they're not worth the price. Also the new PB2K's Pro go on sale often.
I have been tracking the pb2k pro price but haven't seen going lower. What sites are you referring to? Thank you

The 115SW I had 4 and went through amps like hookers go through underwear. Sold all 4 and now have 2 x Monolith 15 THX. The SPL is supposed to fix some of those issues so I wouldn't say inferior to it at all.

Usually during holidays they do sales, sign up to their newsletter or make a keyword on this. People usually post it here too.

Did you leave them on or on standby? Just curious, I know the earlier Klipsch R115 had the amp problems but the later production models supposedly they moved some internals around and it largely alleviated them.

I had replacements sent to me from them supposedly revised. Left them always on. I hear now you should be turning them completely off

Is these better than svs pb2000 ?
You are going to get A LOT of opposing opinions on this, the biggest reason is the definition of "better", we all have our own.

There are many many factors with this, a big one is your expectations and preferences.

Having comparing them personally I would say in very general terms the 2000 will dig deeper with more punch, detail and accuracy but the Klipsch will have more output.

If your expectation/preference is mainly getting that "boom" and or you like to rattle your windows, Klipsch will definitely give you that at a much less cost.

Now if your expectation/preference if for that boom to have more detail, accuracy with a more specific punch than the 2000 might be more to your liking.

Again this is just general because there are way way many of things to consider of top of that.
Keep in mind this does have a bigger footprint, placement plays a crucial roll on getting the maximum performance out of your sub.

That again doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Subs are meant to peak around 25hz or so and start to gradually roll of. If it's peaking at like 35hz+, that just means it's sorta crappy or needs tuned etc.. The better the sub the more sub 20hz you get. Also I have both the Klipsch sub12 (with upgraded amp) and pb2000. Actually and 2 BIC 12's running.. When I get around to it I'm going all HSU.

This is VERY similar if not the same as the R-115. There's a good review on YouTube by "youthman" and then there's this review by a subwoofer expert... https://hometheaterreview.com/kli...-reviewed/

TL;DR... it's an excellent sub.

This review addresses what you state and explains how to fix. It also compares against the sub Id actually want, the HSU. It's an OK subwoofer. If you're gonna spend $500+ though, plan your setup wisely based on room dimensions, staging etc..
