This device is carrier-unlocked, meaning a SIM card and service plan must be purchased separately. The tool below will show you expected compatibility with networks around the world. This should be used as reference and does not guarantee compatibility.

I have this phone, and I like it because of the headphone jack.
They got a pretty nice, quad dac in here, with amplification to drive some pretty powerful headphones that other devices or bluetooth wouldn't be able to.

Dual screen is a nice extra, I do use it much more than I expected to - it's nice to have completely separate screens for multitasking and watching videos.

Finally, the battery is incredible. It's advertised to have a 4000mah battery, but the most interesting thing was that when I first bought it (over a year ago), my accubattery app showed a 4500mah battery estimate. Basically, the battery was larger than advertised, and it definitely showed in longevity. Even today, an entire year later, I'm at 4200mah effective capacity, and can go 2 days of pretty regular use without even thinking about recharging.

Downsides? Not much for this phone alone - it does everything I need, from music, to apps, to games, to just browsing the web.

THAT SAID: there's one thing to keep in mind about this phone - these days you can get the LG V60 thinq, basically the successor to this phone, with the dual screen accessory, for around $400. The deals for the V60 may be fewer and further between, but I've seen it at costco for $400 with the dual screen, and it took all of my willpower to not buy it then and there. Wait a bit, and you'll have a chance to get what's basically an upgrade in every way over the G8x, for around the same price. (this was the deal btw https://slickdeals.net/f/14502593-costco-t-mobile-lg-v60-5g-dual-screen-smartphone-no-new-line-required-399-99?src=SiteSearchV2Algo1)
Don't blame LG (entirely) - it's the carriers. This is one of their latest scams to locking ~your~ phone to their, one network, to prevent portability, and using their paying customers like bargaining chips, so they can make potentially make money from, or have leverage with, other carriers over roaming/tower agreements. I know I'm generalizing here, but VoLTE licensing and compatibility is ridiculous. Can you imagine, building a communication protocol/tool for the ~global phone networks~, in this day and age, that's proprietary and incompatible with everyone else? When something doesn't add up, follow the money.

You are incorrect. This is the unlocked US version. It's the only one that does have Volte for TMobile. It's all the unlocked Sprint or ATT models (UM) on eBay that don't support That was the case with the XDA link and the reason why I stopped my long-standing custom of buying past year's LG flagships for a great price for Tmobile

P. S. A. There is no USB-C port if you use the dual screen attachment. Must use magnet adapter if you plan to keep the phone in the dual screen 'case'

I'm using it for about 6 months now. Camera is good, everything is fast and battery life is very long.
Dual screen is sometimes handy (i worked on it using remote desktop with keyboard on the other screen or played games and browsed at the same time) but it is more trouble than benefit - you need charging adapter that often unsticks, thick phone that won't fit into car phone holder, akward back camera and flashlight.
Somehow mine got very scratched up, after 3 months it had more scratches than my old V30 after 3 years. Screen protector only lasts a week, I'm going to keep my second cracked one on for a while since it still protects against scratches.
Microphone picks up all the noises in the room. People on a call can hear flys sneezing 15ft away from me.
Without the case (and you may need to get the phone out of dual screen case to charge it with regular usb-c cable) the phone is super slippery - tiniest incline or the cord weight will pull it off the desk.
The back panel vibrates when speaker plays music - not noticeable with a case, feels very flimsy without the case.
It restarts by itself, but it can be due to drops without the case. There is a good chance it won't be covered by the warranty.
There were some updates in the last week so it looks like LG does at least some support.

The V60 sucks. I have the Tmo variant and updated it to Android 11 last week. Lost use of finger-print unlock because the update has known bug that causes the CPU to be locked at 100% when using FP to unlock the phone. People on Reddit are reporting massive battery drain issues because of this bug.

Avoid LG. Buy anything besides LG!

Thanks didnt really need the phone, but figured it would be fun to play with. When I saw the one dude say no tmobile I figured probably a sign so didnt even think to double check his statement.

Appreciate it!
