I've got an iPhone 12 mini, and I've never exhausted the battery in a day -- and that's with 5G set to "Auto" mode. At most, I might get down to 20 percent before putting it on the bedside MagSafe charger at night.
But then again, I'm not on my phone all damn day long either. My work machine is a MacBook Air (M1), so I'm on that most of the time. Maybe if I spent hours upon hours a day staring at my phone, the battery life would be a problem...
Yeah, sounds like we have different usage patterns and I spend time in low service areas which is a drain on battery life too.
I'm hoping they don't give up on the mini line and can make some battery improvements.
Someone on another thread for a cheaper $3 iPhone 11 / 11 Pro Insignia cases commented about the open bottom. Unsure why the lower part of the phone screen should be left unprotected.
If paying $20, Otterbox Commuter[amazon.com] (black only) is available for $20.49 and Symmetry[amazon.com] is available for $25.59. Both sold by Amazon, so hopefully genuine and not the fake ones.
Any cheap third party magsafe wallets? Not paying more than the case for a wallet add on.
This is also on Amazon, but Besybuy also has open boxes. I'll usually order an open box and the item and return the open box if it's not actually "like new" as they claim or keep it and return the new unopened item.

Because if you place your phone upright and are in a call you are in a call your mic will constantly cut out if the bottom was enclosed. Happens with my gf all the time.

Aliexpress has clones for $4 don't know their quality.
I need a deal on a 12 mini, my wife is rocking a 7s which is surprisingly still capable but I assume updates will start killing it soon.
To quote Maxwell Smart, you missed it by THAT much. T-Mobile had a huge upgrade trade-in deal 2 weeks ago. I got $360 for my old 2016 SE. Though, if you're not with TMo, my point is moot.

Yeah I'm a Verizon guy, plus we typically don't trade in, our devices trickle down to the kids.

To use the MagSafe charging, you'll need the Symmetry + (incorporates the charger ring). I got one off fleabay for $21. Amazon doesn't even list it. $60 overpriced retail.
Own this same clear case for my regular 12. It cracked at the bottom near the speaker and lightning port within a day or two with no drops or damage. Had it replaced, it did it again. Bought a silicone case, moved on, and never looked back.
This has been a known issue with Apple's clear cases, more specially on the iPhone XR models. Enough to where Apple has a special section in their VMI (what they use to determine if something is covered under warranty, among other things) specifically stating this is covered under warranty as a manufacturing defect.

I do not know if Apple makes them, but there are 3rd party ones available.

Wouldn't buy this even at $20
