It has been this price before in oct 2020:

The vacuum is very nice, has a blower port feature which I just used to clear my sink drain by blowing the water through, then disassembling the plumbing underneath with out having all the water in the trap. Convenient. It also has the ability to limit the suction power with a simple plastic piece you twist to adjust the suction power if you wanted to vacuum the saw dust around your socket sets, but you didn't want to suck up all the sockets.
I will say it is a bit cumbersome taking the thing apart to empty it. One user complained he had trouble 'seating' the filter. I do not have this issue, and also with a lifetime warranty, I don't really pay much attention to it anymore. It is a quick change filter, just snap it on and off.
The stock VF3400 filter that comes with this Vacuum is the white one and does not do a good job with filtering dust, which would definitely allow a big puff of dust to come out the back.
If you upgrade to the blue Model # VF3500A filter like this deal:

You get the blue filter which does a MUCH better job at stopping that puff of dust.
Then if you still want more dust protection, go with the VF3600 HEPA filter:

And lastly of course if you want to vacuum water, you need the foam filter VF3700:

I pretty much dedicated a 9ah battery to this vacuum and get 30 min of run time with it. It is power hungry. But I have used a 4ah with good success.
It also has a lifetime warranty. (Registration is not required to get the lifetime warranty, but you register at https://www.ridgid.com/ or https://www.ridgid.com/us/en/prod...gistrati
The LSA is for Ridgid power tools and batteries manufactured by Techtronic Industries.
Ridgid vacuums come from Emerson and have their own lifetime warranty. Because it is an actual warranty, not an "agreement", registration is recommended but not required.
"Not having to deal with Ridgid's weird LSA registration is a bonus, HOWEVER, I can't find any factory authorized service place for these and my local HDs won't take them in and exchange or send them off for service like they do with the other cordless Ridgid items. HD tells me any service after 30 days requires you to mail the vac back to Emerson for service (likely at your expense). Not a deal breaker, but just an FYI for folks who are used to the way the *other* Ridgid does things."
You can buy paint strainers and use them as "pre-filters" for you real filter.

Suction is decent enough. Great for quick clean up of things (e.g. drywall dust if you're drilling holes to hang something). I find for vacuuming the car it's good for things on the leather, and other smooth surfaces. But for vacuuming out grass and other stuff that gets embedded in floor mats the full sized one is still best.
This isn't a replacement for a full size shop vac, but is a great addition to the tool box arsenal. Would also be good for people who live in an apartment, or don't have storage space for a full sized one.

Also, I'll second blueapplepaste - it works great and I've been happy with it for at least 2 years.

I assume this is the same one and they were very happy with the performance here

do you need to use incognito to get the price to change? I'm using all of the zips here and it never changes from $99

I know it's $30 more dollars (and not on sale) than this one but it has a higher CFM (82 vs 60) and it's bigger. Guess I need to decide if really need a bigger one. I have the space for it, but the smaller one is a bit more convenient to use, just not as powerful for vacuuming the carpets/floor of the car.
