Looks like there is still no homebase 2 support here huh? Kinda surprising, thought that's what everyone was wanting/waiting for. Is the only difference the resolution here? Might make sense to get a discounted first gen if so.

Any other differences between this and the original Eufy Floodlight Camera, besides the 2K vs 1080p resolution upgrade.

Yeah, I would have bought 3 of them but for that.

How would the homebase support help with a floodlight camera?

I'm thinking of getting one of these for each corner of the house.

I have the older version of this light. If I had to do it over, I'd put up a solar motion activated flood light with a few Wyze/Eufy cameras to cover the driveway. The problem I've had with this floodlight is its small angle. I have four cars parked in my driveway and the camera barely covers them all. Whenever I have to look at my driveway, I end up using my Wyze camera. YMMV but for me it's just an expensive floodlight.

It has AI human detection to reduce false alerts. My older version triggers constantly on windy days, picking up the tree shadows moving on the driveway. Human detection should prevent that, but I don't care enough to upgrade my 3 1080p Eufy floodlight cams.

I'm holding out for Homebase support and black housings.

Ah, good to know regarding the 1st gen lights. I'm in the same boat, holding out for black housing w homebase. Sorta shocked eufy released this 2nd gen version without homebase support.
