I wanted to love this laptop so much. I was trying to go from a desktop to a laptop, and it seemed to be the magical box that was powerful, but portable. I understand I was unicorn hunting, but this thing had more rules than a Mogwai. You couldn't use it with a dock with the lid closed.. The air flow was designed to have the lid open. Earlier builds of this model had a problem with using a dock that would power USB-C. It would fry something inside and your machine was dead.

I'm hoping that down the road, this is the machine it was meant to be.

I have the M15 and I can't recommend Asus. Too many minor details overlooked. Occasionally the mouse will screw up and feel like there's a third finger there causing it to jitter. May be a different laptop, but Asus QC has me second thinking their stuff. Fantastic price for their hardware...

I bought one for my son and it is the perfect laptop for engineering students to carry around campus. One year down with zero problems. At this price point you also get a price break on the Best Buy warranty. We bought the warranty for peace of mind and it also includes one battery replacement. I actually am looking forward to it as a hand down computer in 4-5 years.

Does anyone know what the desktop GPU equivalent of the 2060 Max Q would roughly be?

From what I've seen it's slightly below a RTX 1650.

There was a $50 off deal a couple weeks ago through Best Buy and Best Buy's eBay site that I missed. Keeping an eye out for a similar, or better, deal. The newer model seems to have addressed the issues of heat, key backlighting, screen quality, etc., that have been raised here.
