I would go with the 1440p, I have had to use a 32in at 1080p and it's not very pleasing to the eyes text blurry with pixel lines.
That being said, using HDMI causes some black flickering at times that lasts a second or two. I strictly use DisplayPort to game. I also got that monitor, with more features than the posted one, for $250.
After contemplating buying this deal for a matching monitor, I ended up buying the newer 32GP83B-B IPS 165hz model open box excellent from Best Buy for $442.
I know that old Cyber Monday deal isn't available now, and the monitor I just bought is 50% more expensive, but I just wanted to throw it out there as an alternative for those looking at this
