Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose

Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.

For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

How are you able to check the deal when it's not available until tomorrow and the T-Mobile deals page states "COMING SOON, Upgrade her Mother's Day." ??

If you must do a trade-in, do it in store. Don't send in the trade-in. I sent in 2 iPhone 8 , only 1 got delivered. USPS "lost" my package. I think someone knows what is in the package and is stealing it. So for I only got credit for 1 phones. Waiting for TM to do some investigations.
I've done a bunch of trade-ins and returns with T-Mobile via UPS and have never had an issue. I always get a receipt from the UPS store when I bring in my phone to send.

I got the A71 5G during the last free line promo with anticipation of using it here so it's on the 24 month promo itself. Can I pay it off, have bill credits continue coming in and then trade it in for the free iPhone 12?
Nope, You are going to lose your monthly bill credit since the promo you got is still attached to your account.
You can only trade in your Tmobile device for other non-Tmobile carriers promotion.

I've had same question before, but I found out about this in a hard way by losing my promo credits and I had to call the customer service to get only the half of what was left in my promo credit. So basically you need to wait till you get all of your promo credits no matter what your phone is paid off earlier or not. This is preventing customers taking too much advantage of their promotions over and over.

I've had a same issue with my trade in phone. First it actually passed their test and I even got a confirmation saying that the trade in went thru. and about 2 weeks later I got another email saying that the phone is only qualified for 80 bucks. This means if they find out about the dead pixel, then they won't allow your trade in for the full promised trade in promo credit.

Are you sure? This contradicts what a lot of other people in this thread have said.

Did you do this in store or did you ship it to them?

A lot of people with exact case as yours?

Nobody can assure you about the remaining credit. take it to any Tmobile store, and they will definitely say you will lose your credit. But if you think that's a lie to scare you off or something.

Then I might be wrong. Go for it. and Good luck.

Is it ? I thought if you pay off your phone, the credits you get move to the account level and not on that line where the "line" then becomes eligible for upgrade or another promotion. I had promo credits drop off without me doing anything at all on that line and a call to them got the credits back in whole instead of monthly.

It's better deals than last 5G upgrade promotions.

He's semi-right. You're limited to a certain amount of EIP bill credits per plan, but that number would need to be verified with TMobile. He probably had like 10 promos applied all at once and the system rejected the 11th one or something.
