Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose

Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.

For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

I have 5 lines on my account out of which 3 phones I can take advantage of this promotion. Is there a limit per account on how many i can trade-in to buy? I did not see anywhere mentioned about it in the promo.

iphone 6 plus?
Yes. I have no use for the iphone 6 plus anymore. But only getting $380 off if I trade it in. Which means I have to pay $500-600 up front to get the iphone 12 64GB.

I got 2 x Samsung A32 from the current deal already. laugh out loud

You pay the different up front along with Sales Tax and shipping
Not sure you pay upfront, it all gets lumped into the monthly payment, the upfront sales tax total is more obviously since the phone costs more...

a suggestion is that the XS has a high value if you sell it privately. Let's say you get $250 - 350 for it.
And let's say you find an iPhone 8 for $100-150 used.

You spend for the iPhone 8, trade It to get the $830 over 24 months and sell the XS privately which pays for the 8 and have some extra cash.

If you don't want to deal with all that, just trade your XS to tmobile for the deal.
