Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose

Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.

For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

Do you have icloud backups turned on? If so, you should be good to go, but I still recommend you do a manual itunes backup as well, couldn't hurt.

I have a question about iphone not related to this deal. i am not much of an IOS user but my daughter is. She has been using her iphone using my Apple account id because when she started, she was too young to have her own ID. Now with this new phone, i think it's time she gets her own apple ID. How do you back up data from one Apple ID and transfer it to a new phone with a different Apple ID?

It's super easy now, I think it's just Bluetooth. No need to connect to iCloud or computer. When you turn on a new phone next to your old phone, it automatically asks if you want to set it up!

It really works! I had traded in with the same promotion 2-3 weeks back and they have accepted the trade-in and confirmed credits. Great deal, Got iPhone 12s by trading in our iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus and only paid the tax on the new iPhones. The monthly bill is also very reasonable with the essentials plan! Overall what a slick deal!

They dont accept broken screens. I had deep scratches, I called up T-mobile support and they advised me to get it fixed, they accept deep scratches on screen but may affect the value of trade in and the 24 month credits. Better to fix it and trade it in.

I just did a transfer tonight and it took over an hour. Might be a bit too long to stay at the store.
