Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose

Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.

For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

Swappa would get you the IMEI quicker. If you are trading it in online, they only need the IMEI to process the trade in. You have 30 days to send the phone back.

The tradein requires the IMEI now. And the promo reportedly expires tomorrow. So you probably won't be able to do it unless you get your tradeup phone tomorrow.

Iphone 8 and S9 are going for $200 or so on Swappa.

EDIT: Someone says Swappa will get you the IMEI immediately?

Yes I have a qualifying line for upgrade. On that line I have a first gen Iphone SE and I wanted to trade in an Iphone 8 (not on the account) but the only offer showing is for the $530. I have another line with Iphone 11 and (even that shows upgrade for $530 trade in credit, edit: it does show $830 after a 2nd look). But I didn't think of calling in, so I'll try that next. Thanks.

You don't get a confirmation of which promo you are getting when you buy online. I've done offers both online and in store. As long as you meet the terms of the offer code, you should be good regardless of where you buy. The stickler comes in with a promo like this, where there is 2 offers that sort of match and reps are finding the offer with the 'add a line' vs this one where no new line is required.

You have to pay off the EIP of the S21, if there is one. Those credits will transfer to account level and you will be able to trade in the S21 and get this iPhone promo credits.
