Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose
Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.
For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

I've never upgraded phones, so could anyone help me figure out what that charge for upgrading is? I went to the site and decided to get the 128 GB phone since I figured it's only $80 more to get double the space. When I initially selected the 64 GB model, it said monthly fee is $0 and today's charge is $0. Then when I switch to the 128 GB model, it still says $0 for each month, but $50 charge today, not including sales tax which is even higher. So with two phones, it'll come close to $300 today. Am I missing something?

Does the trade in phone have to be unlocked or doesn't matter ?
Locked phones are ok as well.

Replying to my comment. Tried to go through the process and it says Kickstarted does not allow financing and you would have to pay in full.
Damn. I just went through a chat with a rep and he said I qualified, but would have to add a line (which a: defeats the purpose and b: isn't consistent with the language here). I assumed that may be the case.

You get 830 credit. Any additional amount needs to be paid upfront. If you decide to get 128gb you need to pay $50 in storage difference upfront plus taxes and shipping per phone. I don't see how it comes to $300 for 2 phones unless you are buying the pro models.

Anyone know what would happen with my current 24-month promo I'm on? I did this last year for a SE2 and am only about 12months into that.

You still have to pay $80 tax, no?

Sorry if this has been asked but...
My parents just took part in the upgrade deal last week or so.
Any luck having T-Mobile match this deal?
Trying to chat with them now via fb to see if they can help.
Thanks

Do you need to give Costco the imei? Would be great if you could upgrade now and acquire the teade in device later.
yes, they need IMEI.

You can often do chat with T-Mobile and tell them you will provide IMEI later, but you must provide it before the promo officially expires. So for a short promo like this one, it doesn't do much for you other than buy an extra day of time.

I tried asking the chat rep and he said I'd lose current promo on device even though it's paid off. I showed him the link the the tmobile promo credit page that said recurring device credit will continue account wide if paid off. But he pointed to the bottom of the page that said if you trade in device for another device with promo credit you'll lose previous credit. Anybody can confirm well still receive previous credits??

It depends what state you are inMy taxes were $50 plus 6 shipping. So if I get 128gb iPhone 12 today I will pay $50 for storage difference plus 56 for taxes and shipping. That comes out to $106 per phone.

Same question. Traded iPhone 6 and got $365 credit I think. Will they credit back $15?

Did you verify at Costco? I know costco wireless does not have this deal listed. Anyone else who is/was at costco to confirm?

You guys are not understanding one simple logic. unofficially you are signing a contract for 24 months to get the deal and you are giving up your 500 worth phone as a tradein.
