Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose

Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.

For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

You guys are not understanding one simple logic. unofficially you are signing a contract for 24 months to get the deal and you are giving up your 500 worth phone as a tradein.
Your "simple logic" is super flawed. First most people plan to stay with T-Mobile so it doesn't matter if they get into a 24 month contract. Second you are a fool if you are trading a $500 phone. Get a cheap iPhone 8 or One plus 7 and use that. I have a iPhone 8 sitting in my drawer that I used to get this deal. Nobody will pay $500 for an iPhone 8 or One plus 7.

I think people know that and are happy to stay with T-Mobile for 24 months.
And how is an iPhone 8 worth $500?

Is Iphone 8 worth $500 right now? and I'm only paying $20 tax included per month. Why would I leave TMO? This deal is for someone who is happy with TMO and not planning to jump ship anytime soon.

When I click the link, it says add a qualifying line. Is anyone else having the same issue?

Anyone know what would happen with my current 24-month promo I'm on? I did this last year for a SE2 and am only about 12months into that.
You would have to pay off the current phone immediately and would lose any credits to the end of your promo period

yes, they need IMEI.

You can often do chat with T-Mobile and tell them you will provide IMEI later, but you must provide it before the promo officially expires. So for a short promo like this one, it doesn't do much for you other than buy an extra day of time.
Most reps won't do this.

You need the IMEI for them to process the trade in.

Damn. I just went through a chat with a rep and he said I qualified, but would have to add a line (which a: defeats the purpose and b: isn't consistent with the language here). I assumed that may be the case.
The rep was mistaken. Just do it yourself online. It shows the promo value without adding a line.

I tried asking the chat rep and he said I'd lose current promo on device even though it's paid off. I showed him the link the the tmobile promo credit page that said recurring device credit will continue account wide if paid off. But he pointed to the bottom of the page that said if you trade in device for another device with promo credit you'll lose previous credit. Anybody can confirm well still receive previous credits??
I was told by 2 separate reps I'd be losing the credits as well if I pay it off and and get the $830 iphone credit promo.

I just traded my s10 for a s21 5g. It shows $0 monthly payment after $33 monthly discount. I tried to do another line, but it's not giving the discount. It must be a 1 line only deal for mothers day.

You have to pay off your EIP, but you don't lose your credits. They move to an account-level credit and continue for the original term of the promo. Many reps are actually mistaken when they tell you you'll lose the credits. Many folks including myself have done this.

Did you verify at Costco? I know costco wireless does not have this deal listed. Anyone else who is/was at costco to confirm?
Costco is not doing this promo. I was there at Costco yesterday asking. Their new promo period starts on Monday the 10th, so you would have to wait and see if they are offering anything then.
