Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose
Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.
For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

What if the phone works but the screen is cracked (still turns on and everything)? Will that work for the trade in?
no it will be denied for the promo, if you send that in they will charge you full amount of the iphone 12 minus the value of the cracked phone.

Ah man which state you live in? CA? 10% tax is too darn high. Sucks but unfortunately no way around it.
$85 is too damn high? My tax including shipping was almost $200 per equipment and I don't even live in CA shitttttttttttttzzzz

my down due upfront was $400 + taxes/shipping went to almost $600
then repeat for another phone. That's 1200 upfront not even including the monthly bill....or am I missing any promo code? Lol

what if there's like a line on the screen but the phone is working fine and no crack? It seems like a manufacturer defect

not sure, depending on the inspector i guess. normally they are ok with scratches, but if theres a LCD defect they might ding you for that.

I would try my luck and bring it into a physical store and hope they will take it on the spot

This is a very good deal. Which phone is the best bang for value for the $830 trade-in? I am targeting the iPhone 12. I can't seem to find the tmobile LGV50 option in the trade-in drop down. TIA

How soon can one pay off the balance ?
As soon as the trade-in has been completed and the promo been applied. See my.t-mobile.com/EIPJOD in your account after login
It may be best to have one billing cycle close first to make sure it's working properly.
