Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose
Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.
For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

Anyone know if T-Mobile will take an iPhone 8 as a trade if if you can't see the water damage strip. Bought iPhone 8 on OfferUp, but the water strip is not visible by the SIM card tray.

I was able to trade in an S10 for an iPhone 12 Pro over chat. The representative waived $20 activation fee and $24.99 next day shipping. However, in the trade-in email, I see an estimate of $160 instead of $830. Representative mentioned this amount would be up to $830 once they receive the device and inspect. Does that sound right? Do I need to check with T-Mobile again to get this estimate corrected? I have the chat message saved just in case.
I went through the same process and confirmed it with the agent that the amount shown in text / email confirmation is the face value of the device which will show up as "1 time credit" and remaining amount will be in bill credits. I traded in an iPhone 7 and got the notification for $40.

Two separate shipping labels for two trade ins.

Costco card isn't available right away, we have to claim it later, they printed instructions to claim two separate $30 Costco cards.

Free shipping option would take 4-5 days to get the new phones.

Good luck!
Could you please explain the Costco offer or add it to wiki. I am interested to get a iphone trading in an iPhone 8 Plus

I kept getting ""OOPS! WE HIT A SNAG" after skipping accessories both online or using the app, so I went ahead and got the order processed using Twitter messaging. It's a very time consuming process because each reply takes some time, but it is straightforward because the reps there are very knowledge. I also got the $20 fee waived and free shipping.

So far, I have ordered using Twitter T-Mobile Help twice. Both times, I could not process the order online or using the app. I prefer dealing with them than calling T-Mobile and deal with the clueless reps overseas.

Congrats! If the sales tax rate is different between your Costco and your shipping address, please let me know which sales tax they applied to to your order. Thank you!
My shipping and Costco store address both have same sales tax. Thank you.

This happened to me once when I seemed to have hit my internal credit limit. Once I paid another phone off I was able again to check out myself online. I am able now to reproduce this error when I hit the a total outstanding EIP $$$ amount that seems to be my limit.

Which store in Chicago? West loop Ashland or North Damen? Do they have the $30 Costco cash card ?
I actually did the Mt prospect one, but my normal store is Damen one

Yes, but not on the same line unless you pay the other one off first. If you have another line available without an active EIP you can use that line instead.
