Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose
Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.
For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

Will they accept an iPhone with broken microphones? Everything else works, just can't talk or record. If they don't test that, they wouldn't know it's not working.
I would caution you against doing that. Even if the T-mobile reps don't check it and accept your phone, the final word is once it gets inspected by Assurance/Tmobile. If they find the iPhone to not be in 'good condiiton', they can deny the credits and you can get stuck with paying the full price for the iPhone you got at the store. There isn't anything the Tmobile store can do about that. Worst case scenario, which I've heard from reps is that they keep the phone, which means you lose the phone as well. So its risky to make an iffy phone pass the Tmobile store inspection, IMO.

Thanks. Did you get your iphone 12 the same day?
My store said the iphone 12 will be mailed to me and that is the only way since i am financing. Not sure if that's true.
Not possible to get it same day since you are buying it from Kiosk directly.
Kiosk and Costco is not same thing.
Costco actually owns the phone, so if you buy it via Costco you will have to pay out of pocket full price.
I'm not sure why people always get confuse by this.
When a deal is truly though Costco you pay for the phone full price (minus any Costco discount) at the Costco checkout line.
If you pay for a phone via Kiosk, they are just actually ordering phone from T-Mobile, hence that is why the Kiosk deal mirrors T-Mobile deals directly.

Everyone seems to be moving down south to the Carolinas/Florida.
I may follow them laugh out loud

$50 fee per phone because I went with a 128gb iPhone 12 instead of the base 64 gb

iPhone 12 64gb = $830
iPhone 12 128gb = $880

You pay the extra store fee up front, in my case, the $50 and $50
Iphone 12 64gb is $799 and 12 128gb is 849 at apple.com so i dont understand why $30 is extra?

I hate to break the news to you but the store employee accepting it is irrelevant because they are not the ones who determine the status of your phone.
Not sure if you have experience like this before, but I have couple of damage phones trade-in instore before and non of them having issue. By the way, I just received the text saying phone trade-in completed and I will receive monthly credit.

correct.
some carriers like tmobile charge $30 extra.
so it's $830 for the base iPhone 12 64gb...which is why tmobile is giving $830 for the highest tier.

The way Apple priced the phones this year, you get a $30 "discount" for buying a carrier branded phone on their website. Their SIM free version is also $30 extra, and T-Mobile chose to charge that price as the full price of the phone through their sales channels.

Can someone tell me specifically where the IMEI is listed after a Swappa purchase? Everyone says IMEI is instantly available for Swappa purchases but I do not see it listed after my purchase anywhere .

If the store accept it, they will have to deal with it. When you sign the paper to finish the trade-in, you should be fine after that. Just make sure to keep your receipt and all paperwork. I have previous trade-in like that with T-Mobile before.

Why all of you are silent about the recent Samsung A32 free phone promo that millions of you on slickdeals took advantage of? It was a big hit and there was very long thread. The reason I asked is I took advantage of that free phone with trade in of very old working phone like millions of you guys did . I paid it off in full $282 so I can do the iPhone 12 with trade Ron of my XS . It is on same line . Since the bill for this was not generated yet and my billing circle date is every 16 of the month I fear not getting credit on the Samsung A32 phone. Let me know how you did this
