Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose

Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.

For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

Are the phones at microcenter guaranteed to have clean IMEI?
Yes, but the functional quality of the phone is suspect. I had to return 2 refurb'ed iphones to microcenter in the past due to functions not working reliably. For a trade-in, it might not matter so much.

If you are staying with T-Mobile for the next two years, yes. Not good if you are a new customer

I traded in my iPhone XS Max 3 weeks ago for a $430 promo they had going on. Dohh!

Well, I just got back from the T-Mobile store. I decided to upgrade our other line, because $830 is too good to pass up.

I just got home and received a text message: "Hi! Your T-Mobile line 555-555-5555 is eligible to receive a higher monthly bill credit on 2021 Apple Switch P3. We thought you'd like this, so your bill credits have been updated to reflect this better deal - no action required! Learn more: t-mo.co/mypromo4"

So does this mean I'm going to get the $830 for my phone I traded in a few weeks ago!?
I guess so. Lucky you

Only u can determine if a deal is worth your while. Everyone's different. Some people I know aren't even happy with getting a net 50-60%% off on the latest iphone model.
Do the math ... is a new iphone 12 worth $170 + taxes & fees, and waiting 24 months to fully recover your costs?

Hey guys, I have a question and hopefully I will keep it clear.. I am planning to move both my line (iPhone X) and my wifes (iPhone 7) from Verizon to T-mobile and take advantage of the trade in deals today towards new 12s. Given my wife has a 7 though she will only get the $530 credit. However, I am planning to bring my parents over from ATT since the 3rd line via Tmo is free.

My parents have an iPhone 8 and an iPhone 6 and I was going to get them both iPhone XR (BOGO deal) and wanted to use my mom's 8 toward trade in on my wife's iphone 12. Would that work or will my mom's # have to be ported to the phone it is trading towards (my wife's iphone 12)?

Slightly bummed that my wife wouldn't qualify for a plan discount as a front-line ICU nurse, they said must have EMT cert for first responder. But we should still save a lot on current plans with VZN and ATT. Separately, has anyone had any luck getting the $10 SIM card fees waived?

TIA!8.7.3

T-Mobile via chat matched the Costco promotion. I upgraded 2 iPhones (X and XS) and got $60 credit ($30 for each phone line upgraded) immediately to my account as well as free 2 day shipping, no activation fee and waiving of the $20 assistance fee.

I was going to wait until the new iPhone came out in September, but this deal was just too good to pass up!
Do you set up everything online and then do the chat or did you actually try to get the credit first via chat before submitting the order for upgrade? Thank you!

Im in the same bot. I called t-mobile and was told im eligible for both promos. Lets see if i get the credits.
Tforce Twitter rep told me I will only get credit on one of the promo and therefore not on the Samsung phone I paid in full. My bill generates every 16 of the month so I will see. I can't imagine having wasted $282 for the free Samsung phone . I also did the free iPhone SE promo on my other line and I did the free Samsung promo on that line as well. I will check my bill on 17
