Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose
Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.
For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

Some reported that you can send a device that has a different IMEI than the one you previously reported. As long it's the same model it should be alright. It won't disqualify the promo. So basically what that means is that you can get the deal today and then send your trade-in device at later date.

I called 611 and placed the order, not sure but representative was able to to that
I had 3 orders go through online also. My understanding is when the entire redemption is complete you won't get the promo applied if there is over 2 redemptions.

I was going to gamble it but my 3rd phones is either X or XR, not worth the gamble. There will be more offers

Yes they do
Once the store accept the device, does it mean the trade-in value is confirmed?

Chatted with T-Mobile after placing upgrades for two iPhone 12 and one S21, I was able to get shipping waived for each phone (credited to account) but only one $30 credit.

Costco is sold out of all 12's so I went to TM and was offered a $20 credit if I did the trade in online for the 12. It said $20 if you order online or from the TM app.

This is all new to me and I am nervous that something isn't right.

I spoke with an agent for the phone trade in, and when he emailed the contract to sign it showed that I was financing $829, and there was nothing in writing anywhere about the monthly credits. He told me it was normal, and that I would see it later? Is that normal?

Also, he told me I was going to be charged a $20 activation fee on my next bill--is this normal?,

Lastly, the phone back it cracked (not the screen), is there a chance it will be rejected?

Thanks in advance, I have never done a promo before.

I was able to get $60 credit and waived support and shipping fee. Thanks for someone who mentioned about it.

I feel you! Because I've had that happened more than once laugh out loud

took my parents soooooo long to get used to touch phone. Thought using iPhones would bridge the change from dial pad to touch screen but nooooo. Got them iPhone 8 and SE and they still asked me to find them the old flip phones. Ironically, used old flip phones are same or even more expensive than smartphones LMAO . It's been years since I switched their phones and they still touch the screen weirdly, especially my mom. Every once in a while, especially when the screen gets wet and not as responsive, they would ask for me to find them an old Razr phone to replace the iPhones......

Tried to upgrade my parents' phones with the iPhone 11 when it came out, the lack of home button stressed them out so much after a week that I had to return their 8 and SE Facepalm

It's been years since I got them on smartphones and they still ask if I get them the old old buttons cell phones. I was all ConfusedConfusedConfused and Scratchhead when my parents were so envious of seeing this old lady talking on her old flip phones, while they were using iphone 11 and Samsung S10+ just to take pictures!

Anyway, hoping Apple will bring back home button in large screen phones so I can upgrade my parents' phones.
Hilarious!!!!

Thanks for sharing your experiences ..... I do feel better now, I wasn't the only son who went through all that 🤣😂🤣😂

Agreed: flip phones are pricey, and very few, if any, variety. In fact, I don't think Samsung makes a T Mobile compatible flip phone today.

But .... at least your, and my, parents cannot say we didn't try Wink

Went to my local Costco in Los Angeles about 10 mins ago, the rep at the kiosk showed me the error that prevents them from ordering. He states it's sold out nationwide.
I went to Costco in Niles, IL his system is down and can't help me and Lincoln Park, Chicago said he can't help me it's only available in T-mobile stores. So, T-moblile store was charging me all types of fees, best way I found was online and took care of the whole thing without any shipping charges nor transfer fees. Only paid sales tax. All done. Happy mothers day to all

Yes, that's absolutely normal. I traded in a phone in-store today and was told the same thing. I've been with TMO long enough to know this is true.

No, your phone will not be accepted if it's cracked. Including the back. You will not get the full $830. I can't say for certain how much you will get, but you are going to be very disappointed.

I did it through the T-Mobile phone app. It was very fast and easy.
I went to app chat but the rep told me there is $20 service fee. He said I can do it myself for free if I do upgrade through app.

I jsut did the trade through tmobile app chat. Would they be sending me a box with the bubble wraps and all to ship the old phone back to them?

I'm afraid if I use my own packaging material, I'll damage the phone.
