Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose
Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.
For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

Question..
This morning I ordered a new phone with T-Mo online and they provided me with a label to print out and mail in my trade in phone which is a Iphone XR with cracked back glass.

I went into a local t-mo store late this evening to get in on a second deal as this promo is limit 2. While in the store I did a second deal and provided a phone to trade in on the spot. I asked the rep if they thought T-Mo would accept the broken glass on the back of my XR and I showed it to them. The rep said that they would definitely take the phone as a trade in at the store and he double checked with his boss who looked at the cracked glass back and verified that the store would take it.

My question is, if I did the deal online and have a printed return label to mail my trade in, can I walk my trade in phone into a store and turn it in store or do I have to mail it in and risk it being rejected later because of the back glass being cracked?
I would cancel the online order and place another order at the store with the back glass cracked phone.

Guys,

Be careful while purchasing iPhones from micro center. I just purchased iPhone 8 from there in NJ and on sickw.com it says that this IMEI is blocked by t mobile and reported as lost or stolen. And I can't trade that in for iPhone 12 deals. Now I have to deal with micro center and see how to return because they says they don't take phones back due to COVID. And unfortunately store doesn't have phone too to call and talk. have to go in person. Always check IMEI on sickw.com the basic apple info section and see what it says before taking any used phone. Earlier it used to be free on sickw.com but now they started fees but it's minimal. Just 0.10 per IMEI check so it is worth.

Update: I did try to use that phone and it is not working on t mobile network as it is blacklisted by t mobile itself. Other Tracfone or AT&T sim works though. I called t mobile as only my t mobile wasn't working and they also confirmed that they have IMEI blocked for that iPhone 8.

Are the phones at microcenter guaranteed to have clean IMEI?
I have no idea! am1512 (above) is the only one so far to be reporting this. This would be on another level if MicroCenter were to sell stolen/blocked but nothing is impossible... What I am just a little hesitant is the website am1512 is using to verify the IMEI. Looks incredibly sketchy plus they now charge you a fee to run it.

am1512: can you report what happens when you run your IMEI on Tmobile's own site: https://www.t-mobile.com/resource...phone#imei

For the record, I just checked mine and got:
  • It's well equipped to take advantage of our network technology, like Extended Range LTE and VoLTE. Tell me more
  • This phone is not blocked—it's ready to use on the T-Mobile network.

For those who bought online, I just saw my promotion applied in my account. This occurred once the device shows shipped or a few hours thereafter

I did. I see nothing regarding IMEI, SN, ESN, or anything of that nature listed
On the Seller page (where you communicate with the seller) look in the serial number field, which should be the 15 digit IMEI. I didn't know it was there and kept sending notes asking for it from the seller, until a Swappa staffer pointed it out to me.

I see T-Mobile adds a $3.29 fee per month, which after 24 months it amounts to $78.96. Does anyone know if we pay off the device early on, if we can avoid these fees?

let us know how it goes.
a few people said that Costco is sold out

Keep in mind, they have to ship the phone to you. But those seem to be out of stock.
Just came back from Costco. Even though their system may say "5" in stock of a particular color, when they went to checkout (after verifying my trade-in, etc.) it says it wasn't available. So none of the iPhone colors are available, in both 64 and 128GB. I did not have them check the Pro.

I ended up getting S21 instead. Paid tax at the kiosk (rather than Costco cashier). They gave me rebate sheet for $30 to fill out, plus shipping label to send my S9 to Assurant (which I just bought this morning on Swappa and only provided the IMEI). So now I will have to use the T-Mobile site to trade second S9 for iPhone 12 and see if I can convince them to give me the $30 matching.

Isn't that the same amount they'll apply as a bill credit once they receive your trade-in?
