Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose

Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.

For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

I still need to send my XRs in. Sorry if this has been asked, do I leave the screen protector on or take it off? The screen protector has some hairline cracks but I'm 99% sure the screen underneath is fine.
I personally have never sent any trade ins with the tempered glass on.

Take it off. Take photos and/or video of the phone condition before sending it in.

just got credit for the 2nd iPhone 8
great deal!
thank you !!
Has the credit shown up in your account?
I received a notification that my trade-in has been credited, but I don't see the credit in my account. I'll give it a couple days for it to sort out.

I just got a mesage from Sprint/tmobile that one of the 2 iphone8's that i traded in (Mid May) had a liquid damage and has been assessed 0$ credit.
I bought both the devices from a very reputed certified local dealer who i personally know and there is no chance for a damage. CSR via phone was absolutely useless saying they could only do a 100$ credit and not even re-evaluate the phone or send it back.
I would really appreciate any advice on the next steps. Should i contact T-force will they do something about this ?

Contact T-Force. They may just close your EIP and you'll get a total free phone. Good luck.

My iP8 got credit as $79. Did you do anything special to get $82 credit?

If you placed your order with rep, they may put credit against your EIP device. If so, the credit will not show up on your service bill, but on your EIP device balance.

Still sounds shady.

Microcenter is the better choice because Foxconn is the refurbisher, who is a major manufacturer of Apple iPhones.

From Microcenter:
Quote :
Our APPLE IPHONE devices are rebuilt (remanufactured) by an authorized Apple facility with OEM parts which include (LCD, back housing, charging ports and Batteries). It is NOT just a used product that has been cleaned up and called refurbished; this product will have all the form, fit and function of a like new device. Our phones have been successfully tested and passed a full diagnostic exam, which ensures like-new functionality and removal of any prior-user personal information; the operating systems have been updated to the latest version available at the time of testing before being packaged for resale. These devices are "like new" and are considered to be in Excellent/Grade A condition, they have been Inspected and guaranteed to have minimal cosmetic damage, which is not noticeable when the device is held at arms-length. Any electronic hardware not passing diagnostic testing is replaced. Remanufactured products come fully backed with a limited warranty that is promptly facilitated at the Micro Center Store.
Foxconn counts Apple as one of its major customers and assembles the bulk of iPhones for the U.S. [cnbc.com]

You can certainly paid off the device and still get those credits as long:
A- line is active
B- didn't get a 3rd credit promo on the same line.
C- didn't trade in the same device.
You can unlock the device after 40 days of its activation. Alternatively you can temporarily unlock the device internationally almost immediately. They offered me 30 days and my device automatically locked itself again then I had to call them one more time. They unlocked it for me another 30 days.

Source: I did it myself.
Thank you & much appreciated for detailed response.
I've just sent sent traded phone and yet to see the bill detail so will wait for 40 days anyway before paying off.
