Up to 830 is because if you buy 12mini it will have trade in credit or only $730 and not $830 and it you buy 12pro or pro max then you will only get $830 and rest will be on you. That's what upto $830 means so yes iPhone 8 will get you upto $830 depending on the device you choose
Where is Costco? They use to have similar deal as Tmobile but not lately. Wonder if we didn't kill the golden goose by canceling "new line" after getting the rebate.
For those of you trying to get a phone from SWAPPA like a iPhone 8 or S9 series, make sure you do order from an individual seller where the item/images clearly display the listing number.

In that case it's a unique listing offer and the IMEI will be displayed on the sales page right after your purchase. If you order good quality or spend $10 more for mint you should be golden. Once purchased on the sales page you will see the serial number (IMEI):

If you order from an enterprise seller with generic images and none displays the unique listing number the IMEI will NOT show up and you may have to wait until they are back in the office on Monday and the deal could be over.

Why would they lie?
I asked the same thing earlier. I just don't see how it there are so many screw ups (assuming everyone here is truthful)

Contact T-Force. They may just close your EIP and you'll get a total free phone. Good luck.
How do i contact t-force ? This is the very first time i'm participating in any trade in promo with tmobile or having any problem with tmobile.

Did you checked the phone before sending it in to confirm if its free from liquid damage? I think you got hozed by your certified phone dealer.

Still sounds shady.

Microcenter is the better choice because Foxconn is the refurbisher, who is a major manufacturer of Apple iPhones.

From Microcenter:

Foxconn counts Apple as one of its major customers and assembles the bulk of iPhones for the U.S. [cnbc.com]

Thx for the info. Peace

Always good to check yourself but there were many reports here of people being told their pristine trade-ins had various issues which they claim weren't present when they sent them in. Overwhelming consensus is T-Force has made things right.

I infact got the phone checked in my neighboorhood tmobile store. They insptected the ellibility and inspected within the sim tray as well and said they are good to be traded in. Unfortunately they didn't have stock of the purple iphone12 so I placed the trade in offer online.

Assurant appears to be cranking them out today. They received my phones on May 20th and T-Mobile applied both bill credits at 8:35am May 28th.

The phone credits in my account appear to be calculating correctly but only one line has the 2021 Apple Trade P9 promotion correctly applied to it. I'll give it another billing cycle and hopefully it fixes itself. Overall killer deal!

Finally got a text this morning regarding my trade-in. USPS still shows it as "In Transit, Arriving Late."

In any event, they applied trade-in credit of $77 for my TradeMore Iphone 8 although the text message says for my "Google G025E Pixel 4a 5G 128GB Black - Generic" which is what I had put in the trade-in but confirmed with a rep that I'm going to send in 8 instead.

Now hopefully the promotion will follow shortly.

I don't think there is any link. From Twitter or Facebook, just look up t-mobile help and send them message. They will direct message you in reply

5/27 device received & accessed
5/28 received text $79 credit applied to account

first mail-in trade in. Yay!

Just for future reference, what do ppl do if they have perfectly working iPhone with cracked back glass? Would T-mobile take it for trade in?
