Any thoughts on the NETGEAR Orbi Whole Home Mesh WiFi 6 System with Advanced Cyber Security, 3-pack (Item 1403595 - https://www.costco.com/netgear-or...33367.html) that will be on sale for $100.00 off at $399.99? Any good?
Anyone use this router with AT&T Fiber Internet? I have had no luck with my own routers with their internet service as there is no real DMZ setting so their modem/router gateway won't let all internet traffic through to the routers I have tried (Ubiquiti EdgeRouter 4, Google Nest, an old old Tp-Link router). I have been using the Wifi from the AT&T internet gateway modem/router, but it is terrible. The wifi signal strength is excellent, but it drops the internet connection constantly resulting in messages on our devices that there is no internet access.
I have used att fiber for the last 3-4 years with EdgeRouter4 and edge switches/ac pro. Att fiber will most likely give you a Pace modem that have something they call 'dmz+' (similar to IP passthrough) but the firmware has a bug that will keep disconnecting you. If you are lucky, they will give you the somewhat newer modem (BGW210-700) with IP passthrough. The new modem have been working perfectly for me for the last year.
According to consumer reports, the shark rocket (or any other stick/handheld vacuum) is not meant to replace your standard vacuum, it's essentially an accessory. I agree with that. I have 3 shark rockets and a standard shark powered lift away vacuum. The rockets are used for vacuuming child crumbs and crevices and spiders. The regular vacuum does the rest of the house.
Is that true with a vacuum like the Dyson V11 cordless? If so, I just spent a lot of money on an accessory!

Their tire department has gotten incredibly stingy recently. I purchased snow tires and rims from them (rims were third party through Costco) and was told if they were mounted on the rims they would switch them over to my road set (and vice versa) as a part of the "free tire rotation." Then I went to do it and they said it will be $75. I was pissed.
Spoke to HQ for a while and they said, sorry, you have to pay extra despite what we said when you purchased them. I tried to explain to them that it is the same process as a rotation, you take the tires/wheels off and put them in another position. So instead of using the same tires/wheels, take the other set out of the back and put them in their place. There is no logical reason why this should cost more, especially when I was told otherwise.
We like it and it works great for us, but from what I have read it is not for everyone.
It may depend on your house/floorplan and spacing of the satellites. But I have found the sweet spot on placement for us and we have great coverage everywhere.
PS Can't help with ATT. Works well with Spectrum Gig.
There's a pass through mode on the att fiber gateway. I used it for the past year with my ubiquiti setup.
Why is Costco ad considered slick deal? Unless you buy bulk food and gas I haven't found their pricing for anything else to be that slick..
You just answered your own question. It's not for everyone, but for those interested, it's slick. Because, I could plan my shopping for those items and wait instead of buying it at a higher cost which could save me a ton, not just a few bucks! On top of that, I get hundreds of dollars back for shopping there!

Netgear has some of the worst support I've experienced. The free support is something like 90 days then you have to pay and their products are buggy. I bought a $300 x6s that worked fine for 90 days then after a firmware update it would crashed every couple weeks. Kept doing updates and even after 2 years problem never got fixed so I finally got a tp link a few months ago when Costco had it on sale and haven't had a problem since. Won't ever buy another netgear product. Do you know how annoying it is when the wife and kids are at home doing school and your router crashes?

Watch out. Apparently Costco's road hazard warranty changed and you'll be paying at least $50/tire if you have to use the warranty.
Friendly reminder that Costco's Tire Warranty was changed 6 months ago (reddit) [reddit.com]
