How exactly is an 8 core 16 thread 4800H a low-end processor?

Hasn't been many 2060 with a Ryzen 7 and 16gb ram for under $1000 recently probably because they're getting discontinued(or soon to be for 3060 and 5000 CPU's). Nothing looks lacking or needing of additional updates.

The fact that you have to wait for at least a few weeks if not more would be my only hesitation.

I owned an EVOO gaming laptop for almost a year. It was fantastic, my only minor complaint was the mechanical keyboard key depth seemed a little shallow. Temps were great; build quality was great.

The article you linked was for super cheap laptops, the kit they used in my EVOO from a year or two ago was a very good Tongfeng chasis with a 9th gen Intel and a 1660TI.

Download the drivers from their site and store them somewhere if you buy this. I had the OP version but then their website went offline with no way to download drivers from them anymore.
The EVOO website is up, but they don't even have the links to download the drivers for this particular model (LP7). I only see links for the LP4, LP5, and LP6...

Does anyone know where else we can download the latest drivers for this EG-LP7-BK model?

BTW: Here's the link I was looking at for the EVOO website: https://evooproducts.com/support.html

Not a great deal. We have had Legion 5 with RTX for $950 at Walmart. Also the Gateway laptop was $650.

This EVOO and the gateway has same 120hz display with mediocre colors(60% sRGB) compared to 144hz panel (90+% sRGB).

Bought one. Not sure if I'll like it it looks like a "maximize specs and cheap out on everything else" kind of laptop but maybe it'll do alright? Worst case scenario I return it.

Yeah... I bought that Legion 5 returned it because the fan was making weird noises. Haven't seen a deal nearly as good in a while. The one that got away....

Anyone know how loud this laptop is. I want my laptop to be as silent as possible when not gaming.

I would avoid this brand like the plague. I had an issue with my laptop and I've been on call with support for SEVEN MONTHS trying to get it addressed. I have basically given up.

I have had both a 15" Evoo (LP5 with 1660Ti) and a 15" Overpowered (Evoo's previous brand name), and would not recommend this brand. Both of my laptops have had issues, including keyboard needing to be replaced on my Overpowered and thermal throttling on my Evoo even with undervolting and cooling pad. I encourage folks to look through the feedback on the Reddit subform r/EVOOGaming - lots of other owners with similar issues, at least on the 15" versions.

I'm not sure why this made front page. It's been this price on Walmart for months. For this price I would recommend getting one with a 3060 like the HP Omen that is only around $100 more.

Really? What were the specs on the Legion and the Gateway. Were they also Ryzen CPU's with RTX2060 GPU's? That's a crazy price. Do you happen to have the old links to those deals? I'd like to see what to shoot for. Thanks in advance.

EVOO is same build/maker as that overpowered laptop deal 2-3yrs ago that was on 🔥 sale. Great build, doesn't over heat. No complaints since I've purchased it. Tongfeng produces a lot of these laptops and I'd pick up one of these EVOO if I needed it. Shopping for a desktop for my son instead.

Thanks. Could you share the link for an HP omen 3060 laptop you are talking about? Thanks

Sure it's $1119 at the deal linked below, and you can get it for around $1070 if you have EDU, Perks at Work discount or similar employee purchase discounts.
