How exactly is an 8 core 16 thread 4800H a low-end processor?

Hasn't been many 2060 with a Ryzen 7 and 16gb ram for under $1000 recently probably because they're getting discontinued(or soon to be for 3060 and 5000 CPU's). Nothing looks lacking or needing of additional updates.

The fact that you have to wait for at least a few weeks if not more would be my only hesitation.

I owned an EVOO gaming laptop for almost a year. It was fantastic, my only minor complaint was the mechanical keyboard key depth seemed a little shallow. Temps were great; build quality was great.

The article you linked was for super cheap laptops, the kit they used in my EVOO from a year or two ago was a very good Tongfeng chasis with a 9th gen Intel and a 1660TI.

I have a similar model I got last year for $800, i7 and 1650 GTX. (it was 700 on VIPoutlet and i missed it Frown ) Runs fine except fans get loud due to heat if gaming heavily. I haven't messed around with under volting yet but for the occasional remote work, vacation gaming session, or family zoom call it's been great. Only changes I plan to make to it are a 1TB nvme and try undervolting. Oh and IIRC the speaker is on the bottom so if you want to watch videos in bed you won't be able to heard. We watched the Mandelorian in a hotel connected to a bluetooth speaker to get good sound lol. Sound is good if you're at desk or something.

I'd be tempted by this deal since it's much cheaper. Only 8gb ram but you can get another stick for 40 bucks and this is like 200+ less.

Looking to upgrade my personal setup, stuck with an older CPU at the moment.

I have a Macbook Air for work and was wondering if anyone knows of a relatively easy way to have my dual monitor, mic/camera, and peripherals tied into a hub that is also a KVM switch?

None seemed to have 2 USB-C outputs for a dual laptop setup with a switch. My brain is too smooth to figure it out, thank you in advance!

Which coin are you mining? I'm getting mid 20's with ethereum on an omen 15 2060.
Nicehash you are mining hashing power. So it's between multiple coins. I'm currently doing 62mh on the 3070s and mining my i9 earning me another $2 a day

The Legion 5 with 115w 2060 and 144Hz screen (vs 90w 2060 and 120Hz in this Evoo) for $1050 from eBay (ant online) is a much better deal.

Just download and install NiceHash. Best bang for your buck and easy to do. They pay in BTC. Right now the 2060 8gb is giving about $7-9 a day. Normal would be about $4. Right now i'm making $60 a day with three RTX 3070 it's insane. Normally, it would be about $20 daily.
How would 1080Ti work for this? Thanks a lot

Build quality is really good for the price.

I think it is between Acer Nitro and ASUS Tuf.

Build quality for this generation Tuf is better than last year, but EVOO is a really good return on your investment.

Yep... and the model they used to have with 4800H, 144Hz, 16GB, 512GB, and 1660Ti for $880 was an even better deal.

Evoo is the house brand for walmart. I'm concerned about the build quality, lifespan, and warranty claims based on an article I found here: https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2...-bad-news/ [arstechnica.com] Can anyone comment?
I bought a different EVOO model in 2019, has been running just fine, no issues, also had a 2060, overall build quality appears to be pretty good. Keep in mind that the high end EVOO's and the low, cheaper ones are produced by completely different companies. The one I have has a Tongfeng chassis, about the only thing I can complain about is that the battery life is garbage. Battery runs out pretty rapidly, an hour and a half at most, even while attempting to conserve battery so if that is an issue, you should look elsewhere.

Ordered this last night at $995, they dropped to $899 tonight. They refused to price match via web chat and said I should just order another one and return the first.

And I did just that.

I just got mine delivered yesterday. The screen is pretty bad, so if you have a monitor the machine itself is pretty nice. My only concern which may get me to return this unit is the fact that their website does not provide any drivers in the event you decide to reinstall windows. I should have checked that prior to buying.
