There should be a selection on the webpage that says "Free Gift With Purchase." That's where you select the 2Ah battery.

If the battery is 89 why isn't it hackable down to 110?

I'm learning the terminology, here. Does hackable mean you are returning the battery or tool or either?

Yes that's right and it can only be done if the items are billed as separate line items

So, I'm not invested in any system, right now. After doing some research, it seemed like DeWalt, Makita, and Milwaukee were in that top tier. If I don't have any batteries (or chargers), is this still a good buy, and then wait for a charger? Or would you recommend turning the battery in and waiting for a better battery deal? If I went this route, I would consider myself in the Makita system. I'm a serious DIYer at best, but willing to invest in tools.

it depends on what you already have, I asked a similar question in another thread and I was told that the top-tier manufacturers specialize in their respective fields. If this is a tool that you need, I suggest looking at the combos that include this tool. This tool is useless without a battery and charger.

Hope this helps

The tool-only page (with no gift) is $119, so how much of a deal is this, considering?

Mind sharing how to make sure it's on a separate line item?

Add to your cart and if it shows two line items/part # and one of them can be returned

Look up tool boss on YouTube he explains with examples

Hackable down to $137.50 is not a Slickdeal.
The everyday low price is $119 for the tool only without the gifted battery. You are actually paying more this way

Here is the link for the Reciprocating Saw only:
https://www.homedepot.com/p/Makit.../300065680
That's not the same saw. The one in this post is the brushless one that is $199 normally, the one you linked is brushed meaning less power and drains batteries faster.

Ok. Thank you. Can it be purchased in the store with separate line items?
