"While a 90-degree CPU does not concern us much with this kind of load, it does come at the expense of some throttling. The CPU scales back from 4.50GHz to just 4.05GHz across all cores during the 10 minute window."

I got a R10 with a 3080 and was not able to apply the 10% sign up coupon. Although if you ask their chat support they can "improve" the price offer on certain configurations to get close.
Also my estimate shipping date was June 7 and I received it 2 weeks after I ordered it in mid April. So I expect the shipping date is overly conservative.
Also the gpu is was a Nvidia reference model. And the ram isn't able to be matched because it's specially made for this configuration and has very poor timings. 3200-20cas

Yes it does. I currently have the same set up with an RTX 3070. I installed a 1070 also and it fits nicely.
hows the TJmax temps on the GDDR6X with the cooling pads?

Where was this deal posted?
It wasn't posted. And after I ordered two there were <3 in stock so I didn't post. FWIW, I was trolling around the HP site yesterday morning; bemoaning my missing a $2100 3080 in stock at a BB 1.5 hours away, and then deciding that I should have ordered the BB Omen 3060ti when I had the chance. They had a "preconfigured" Omen with i9-10850/16GB/512GB/3070 for $2k avail to ship same-day, so I signed up for a student account (-$100) and applied the 10Gamer2021 coupon (-10%/$190) and they stacked, so I used the top cb site to swipe another 4% (-$69...nice). It's already on a FedEx truck in TX with a confirmed delivery date.
It's not a great deal, even with the bottom line number, but if I can get 6 weeks of mining out of it before 1559 hits, sell my GTX1080 and 580RX right now while the market is still at its peak, and flip the extra case and i9, I'll net out around $1100 by mid-July. I'll get to try o/c'ing both i9-10850Ks to see which one works better and sell the other, then cannibalize to make new office box with 32GB of RAM / 2x RAID0 M.2 WD Black drives (1TB total) and a 3070, plus get a 3070 for my gaming PC.
If you want the link, it's https://www.hp.com/us-en/shop/pdp...-bundle-pc and they show today as a ship date, so there must still be one or two in stock. FWIW, I think a Perks at Work or any other Employee login for HP will get you the $100 off that should stack with the GAMER coupon.
