I used the May Dell Newsletter promotion. (10% off your order once you sign up for the newsletter) and configured an Alienware Aurora R10 with a RTX 3060Ti for $1,331.81
after the 10% promotion.

Probably should opt for the 5600X and not the 5800X. Since the 5800X thermal throttles; even with the liquid cooling option.

"While a 90-degree CPU does not concern us much with this kind of load, it does come at the expense of some throttling. The CPU scales back from 4.50GHz to just 4.05GHz across all cores during the 10 minute window."

Computers deals with just GPU listed, what an amazing time to be alive.
Be careful alot of the r10 configurations do not qualify for the 10% off coupon.

I got a R10 with a 3080 and was not able to apply the 10% sign up coupon. Although if you ask their chat support they can "improve" the price offer on certain configurations to get close.

Also my estimate shipping date was June 7 and I received it 2 weeks after I ordered it in mid April. So I expect the shipping date is overly conservative.

Also the gpu is was a Nvidia reference model. And the ram isn't able to be matched because it's specially made for this configuration and has very poor timings. 3200-20cas

I'm the guy who wrote a guide to change them if you check the threads. The cards can hash at 99mh+ easily and do not overheat once changed.

FYI, anyone who does manage to get one and wants a slick deal on pads, hit me up. I have some in stock now. I'm waiting for some IRS tax thing to change before I can upload on Amazon to sell, but they are good.

Got a link to the guide? I have an EVGA 3080 that averages 94C memory temp at about 92MH/s. Not sure if your guide is applicable to my card, but still interested in reading it. Thanks!

I saw some articles that NVIDIA was expected to ship their Lite Hash Rate GPU chips in mid May. Considering these PCs have a 5-6week lead time, I wonder if they will include these anti-miner GPUs.

Tbh it's more specific to the Dell, however I believe for your card a pad change can help greatly. EVGA cards are known to be good however so it might not change as much as it should. If you pm me an email I have it in .PDF format.

Will a 1070 fit in these cases? I'm not a gamer or a miner, but I see folks selling these GPU-less systems all the time. Figured I'd bid CPU price on a system and get the ram, ssd, and case for free.

I got the coupon -- took about 90 minutes. Was able to replicate the deal. Stacks with 5% cashback offer through my credit card and 3% through Dell Rewards. Total cost with tax would be about $1300.

I'd opt for replacing the 1TB HDD with the 256GB NVMe for $29 and removing the mouse and keyboard to credit back around $10.

How are the acoustics on your r10? I've heard a lot of negative reviews.
It's not too bad, but nothing amazing. The cooling fan on the top makes decent noise, but typically isn't noticeable I'd your gaming or not pushing the rig. Mine has the water cooling. The 3080 makes you upgrade the psu also so I reached for the liquid cooling.

Depends on the cards most duel fan gpus should fit. I'd say there's prob 13-14in clearance.

oh man yeah my temps with the 3080 are 82C. It's solid.

82C isnt too bad. are you mining off the r12 case? that thing has no air to breathe inside that compact case.

hows the TJmax temps on the GDDR6X with the cooling pads?

After seeing numerous videos of people changing out fans or even just opening these Alienware cases, I just have to ask WHY?

Ugh I know, the price is pretty good. I would rather pay an another 300-400 from NZXT BLD or Cyber Power or Alexander PC and know exactly what kind of components are being used in my computer. You know actually useful mobo's.

Again, that price is good tho lol
