the ryobi multitool takes an allen key to swap blades. kind of a pain, but nbd. im not in a race. but the jobplus system doesnt have a storage spot for the allen key. this seems like a pretty silly nitpick till you have to change blades and there isnt an allen key in sight.
also, the base isnt variable speed... which sort of sucks for some of the attachments.
its a cheap way to get a handful of tools, but do note that there are limitations. im not trying to steer anyone away from the deal, but these are things to know before you buy that you might not think about.
Thanks for the heads up! I am actually interested in the multitool, but I'm holding out for the Ryobi Days deal on the 24th, but this would be a reasonable deal if that one wasn't so close!
Consider with what we know about Ryobi Days coming up I believe you can get two 4.0 AH battiers and a free Jobplus for $99 in that sale. This deal comes with a single 1.5 Ah battery.

I'm not a fan of the Ryobi multitool. Have lots of Ryobi tools and this one is my least favorite. Real pain to change the blades and doesn't feel powerful enough. I tend to use my corded Porter Cable instead.
I bought this but returned it. Pretty underpowered and cheap feeling. pain to change blades too. I bought a DeWalt instead. They're on sale now and worth the extra cost. The DeWalt is much more powerful and feels more rugged. The DeWalt also has a quick blade change feature.
was looking for a drill but decided to go with a $99 2 Battery kit with a hammer drill . as i burned up my other 3 regular drills.
For the last 20 years ive only had batteries die before the tool, and those were old ni-cad ones. I did have a corded Hitachi drill burn up in smokes that was a $20 refurb and used specifically for mixing drywall mud. And I just finished framing a 4000sqft house. What do you do that burns up 3 drills over time???
P.s. when I drove a bunch of 1/4" x 6" SDS screws into triple LVLs I started smelling burning from my DeWalt impact, it was actually quite exciting the thought of finally burning up a tool so I can try something different. But it survived just fine!
