Legion 5 pro is also the most anticipated laptop this year. It will be in huge demand at launch and leaked MSRP is pretty high as well. Its hard to get a deal on lsst year's Legion 5, this year will be harder.
L5 Pro is only 1349$(released in US already, was in stock for about 24HR), base MSRP is 999 for 3050ti. I said the legion 5, not the legion 5 pro but for whatever reason he assumed I meant L5 pro. The legion 5 non pro is only around 1-1.1k for the 3060 and that's a way better laptop.

Also, the Omen INTEL has mux switch, and USB C charging. I wasn't talking about the AMD Omen 15. Stock will go quick for legions though you're right

As far as I know all thunderbolt 3 connections support charging
You know it wrong. Thunderbolt 3 spec mandates only the Data Transfer and DisplayPort Alt mode. Power Delivery can or can't be implemented over Thunderbolt 3 using Type-C PD protocol but that's not mandatory. In fact, none of the gaming Laptops doesn't support Charging via Thunderbolt 3.
In TB 4, USB consortium has mandated the PD implementation.

This is the worst possible year to buy a Laptop. In November Intel is releasing 12th Generation CPUs with DDR5 support and 8 Cores.
Every year is the worst possible year compared to the upcoming year

This year is probably one of the best time to purchase a gaming laptop. AMD Zen 3 has a 24-30% IPC lead over intel. Plus NVIDIA and their recent 3000 series.

For those who aren't looking for a gaming laptop but more productivity and don't mind Apple, the MacBook with their M1 and rumored fall release of M2 chip is spitting out industry leading performance and unparalleled battery life.

Personally, I'd steer clear of this Dell and wait for the Legion 5 pro, US wide release soon. It's been getting stellar reviews across the board.

I had an Alienware M15 R5 Ryzen ordered 5800H w/ 3060 for $1,2xx but cancelled it due to overheating, throttling, and noise reviews.

The 115w 3060 caught my eye on this deal but I'm thinking the comments regarding intel 80w and amd 115w are probably right esp if it's not being advertised anywhere other than one dell rep as I've heard that for other laptops too. If anyone is looking for a comparison of 30 series laptops I've had my hands on a few and ran them through some benchmarks. I picked up an hp omen with a 5600h/3060 100w variant that is staying with me, wound up under $1100 with a epp deal and a $50 coupon from a previous cancellation by hp. It was on order for a couple weeks and just showed up on Wed. I've benchmarked it vs an MSI GF75 Thin (10750h 3060 75w) and an Asus tuf dash (4core i7-11370H 3070 85w) and the HP is the fastest of the bunch barely edging out the 3070 that's working with 15 less watts. Overall the MSI was by far the worst in terms of fit and finish: A $1300 laptop should not have a large gap on the side of the track pad letting you see in the chassis, and the keyboard left alot to be desired, it was also 17" vs 15.4 on the other two (not a negative just pointing it out, it didn't feel huge like some of the other 17" laptops I've used and I liked the bigger screen). The asus was probably the slickest looking of the three but the 4 core and semi gimped 3070 was meh for $1450. Here's the best overclocked TimeSpy scores that I got with the three machines, the hp I've only really messed around with last night. Hashrate max on each if you're into that: msi 37.5, asus and hp 44-45.

My computer is faster than this one. Therefore why should I buy this one? Sounds like not a good idea.

I get 51 hashrate on my 3070 Asus GA503 (RTX 3070 15" slim laptop) with GPU overclock. 45 was on stock. The TUF Dash makes a lot of sacrifices with that measly 4-core, not even sure if I want it for mining and as a backup laptop. You can overclock the memory and underclock the core with MSI Afterburner for the gainz.

I have this pc in white, its the ,g5, with the i7-9740h six core 3.7 g and I gotta be honest im kinda let down with the speeds, I have 12 gigs ddr4 3200, I have the same hard drive, 500 gig hynix (these hynixs are like baby sized matador, almost flash drives, and im seriously feeling like they r using nan flash only to store shit cuz my gold edition hynix 500gb ssd from Amazon last year had a dell latitude with a 6th gen 4physical core rated like .1gz slower, so basically the same but 5 years older, and just the hard drive swapped to a sata 3 from their msata (idk why, both have same speed rating) so hynix either dropped the ball on these ssds for msata, or dell messaed up the connector, idk but I've proven this with a g7 17" edition of this pc from this year and same specs that latitude with only charge being an older shouldnbe slower cpu but was double the speed with a 2.5 top model hynix. (All had same amount of ram, wifi 6 cards on ac signal, and a dedicated rtx 1060) i honestly cannot explain why this is, if anyone knows if matador by hynix r just poorly made, or their gold editors r just insane, or dell dies something with the connectors idk but iek love to figure this out.

This said the pc is great, but I wouldn't pay more the 800 for these specs, the cpu doesn't compare with like a 4.5 ghz 16 logical i9 at all. Closers to a 8 logical i5..

Hey so couple questions, cuz I used to mine too sounds like we talk the same language. Ddr 4 is defaulted to q max speed of I thin 2666, u HAVE to overlook it just to hit 3200 on all 3200 chips installed. I hope they fix this with ddr5? But what's the TUF? Not farmilar with that acronym, and im running a dell but specs are very close to what ur described, I tried putting in a 3000Mb/s m.2 write drive as my boot, (was booting to Debian, may have have a skin flavor idr but rn I dont) i have a rtx1060, bumped up to 2 8gb during 3200, they have kinda mis range latency, nit the worse not the best, I dont recall ddr 4 clocks, but it would be equal to like a 10-10-10 of ddr3, so good but not the best. The processor is a i7 9th edition 740 h socket, and I do have a killer brand ethernet card and a 9000 something intel wifi 6 ac dual band card (point is there's not network speed i could afford that it couldn't handle so ive ruled out all the bottle necks I can think of other then the processor being a 6 core, it sounds dumb but it feels like I handles data slower then a equal featured 4 core i7? Both offer turbo tech for load bearing heavy on one core. But again its the only never before uses major component i can think of, its suppose to be a 3.7 Ghz m standard clock, with 3.9 turbo, did u ever figure out what was bottle nicking ur Asus? Ditto its rated at 115w but again I don't feel it at all. Better speeds from a ultra thin hp ,envy netbook with like all light mobile power light component trade offs. I just don't get what im missing.
