Could be several important factors, use RTINGS.com for review and comparisons.

Biggests factor (to me) is HDR peak brightness. This can determine how good of an effect in HDR you will notice. Higher usually better. Then things like black levels, contrast etc.

The black levels on Oled are unbelievable. the up scaling form 420 and 720. The colors. The brightness. You put a 4k uhd movie like mad max fury on road next to oled and a cheap lcd and it becomes very apparent.

I would not do that. These OLEDs are so sensitive to heat that they have aggressive ABL (automatic brightness limiter) and massive full screen brightness drops to prevent overheating. For example, the peak brightness may be around 800 nits for HDR 10% windows (up to 10% of screen), but full screen white brightness sustained drops to under 200 nits. My roommates noticed playing any game where you open a menu that is mostly white the TV drops dramatically in brightness, even without HDR content. The OLED pixels are that susceptible to heat.

Your best option for a bright, outdoor, warmer environment would be something like the Samsung QLED or new QLED NEO

Hmm, might have to return the one I just bought at Costco & get this one that includes accidental protection. Thoughts?

Lol you're right, but when it's not next to a behemoth, 65" is plenty big for most people/spaces

They price match. https://customerservice.costco.co...adjustment [costco.com]
Costco, unfortunately, doesn't price match other retailers...they'll adjust the price/credit you the difference if they lower the price themselves within 30 days of purchase.

Nice deal..I remember getting a decent deal on a 55" C8. This isn't much more. Prices just keep getting better. Anyone upgrade from a C8? Is there any sense in doing so. I still love mine. 👍

There are a bunch of deals on them in Costco and Best Buy. Like 3050. There are not that many of them in stock due to Covid. They will probably sell out before go they got to 2700 2800. Unless you live on west coast and have video store near by.
