Went to shop at Walmart for some errands and decided to check to see if 'In Stock 2-3' is correct. Guess what? The rep says they don't have any large capacity HDDs. None on shelf and none jn the cages as I can see... I got the stuff I needed so I didnt waste my time but please don't waste yours.

Picked up the last 8tb for 40 and 6tb for 32. They also had a 4tb for 22 but the very helpful staffer looked like he really wanted it so I let go.

Thanks for posting op

A word of warning, if you manage to get any of these, be sure to test the drive right away. I managed to snag two of these at my local store for $45 each. When I got home I noticed that one of them had been opened. I checked the package and found that the data cable was missing. I used the cable from the other drive and hooked it up to a computer, but the computer did not see it. I decided that I would try to see if the drive inside was good. So I popped it open and was shocked to find an old WB Cavier 180 GB drive instead of the 6TB drive I expected. Someone had purchased it, swapped the drive for a piece of junk, and return it to Walmart.

Yeah, I ended up snagging two 6TB for under $100 and an 8TB for $70 and 2/3 were opened and not working. No signs of it being shucked or retail fraud, but WD won't let me RMA them.

I always wonder the same. The nearest Walmart is 23.6 miles from my address. So, unless I make a wrong turn, my mileage will be exact! Smilie

Brickseeker shows different prices, as long as $30 around my area, within driving distance, but ALL out of stock.
