I purchased the same a couple weeks ago. They shipped in two different boxes. One was the short throw projector and the other was the screen. I'd post a picture on here if I could
This model seems to come with 2 different screens, possibly region dependent. Was your screen the "hard" version pre-assembled, or did you have to unroll and assemble it yourself?

Soft screen, assembly required. I live in South Texas, used Best Buy to do setup and installation. Only cost about $370, they will be here this upcoming Saturday to put it together.
The issue you were having is indicative of projecting on an imperfect wall. If you were using a screen then it either had waves or wasn't tensioned properly. The fact that you had this issue with two different projectors point to the screen surface being the cause.
Eh no. I do know a thing or two about projectors. And I did use a tensioned screen for the vava. The screen itself is as much as the projector. You won't notice this usually because the edges of the image are on the edges of the screen which has black felt that absorbs light. Anyway you are entitled to your opinion. Just wrong about my home theater set up. I have no axe to grind. If someone buys a vava or a hisense instead of an epson or an xgimi, that's on them. I am not on the forum to brag about my setup, I am only here to say that I had an experience with short throw projectors. I am not the only one read the reviews of others on Amazon. Or if you are so inclined, read one of those home theater forums where everyone is an expert because they bought some klipsch or something.

What service is it from Best Buy? TV installation?

Rep in store added on their total tech support for 1 year. It is a subscription service so you will have to cancel if you no longer want after the 1 year but it saved me a $100 from original cost.
Total tech support is $180 but it makes the price of everything else drop significantly.

Assembly of the soft screen is fairly simple, just a bit time consuming. It's a matter of putting the frame together with screws and then stretching the screen material around the frame, sorta like a canvas except it's tensioned with a bunch of spring loaded hooks. The screen weighs about 30lbs so it's not heavy at all but you'll need help due to the size. It hangs on the wall like a picture frame and IIRC there are toggles which allow you to level it from the front without removing the screen from the wall.

Honestly, it's not worth paying BB $400 for this unless of course there's some limitation that prevents you from doing it yourself.
Thanks for the heads up. It does look easy and if I had a home I would attempt it but I'd rather be careful in an apartment complex. So I'll have people who do this full time handle it. Thank you for the videos

That's absolutely hysterical. TVs are starting to do 8K and we can't even get a $3,000 native 4K projector.
