Can I get "2021 unlock sim chip" from eBay and just insert it to unlock the TW Iphone SE?
How to go through the activation process and update ICCID?

To update the ICCID on the chip I believe that you need an unlocked iphone. Then you put the chip into the locked iphone.

I'm no expert, but it probably depends on the chip.

I have an RSIM15, and was able to enter the ICCID on a locked SE2020 I got from Total Wireless.

If you need a new iccid don't you have to program it with an unlocked iphone?

Yes, a TW SE 2020. For the unlock I bought this one, it came on the slow boat from China:

nyturbo works for me without any issue. Has used same nyturbo sim to unlock 3 TotalWireless phones.

Did you need to edit the ICCID with unlock iphone? You do not need to always keep the NYturbo in the TW SE ? Just remove it after it is unlocked?

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. The RSIM didn't unlock the phone rightaway. The menu popped up, and I was able to enter a new ICCID to unlock the phone.

There was no other iPhone involved.

I didn't do that.

You don't need to keep nyturbo sim inside, indeed there is no way you can do it. This is why I prefer it to the Rsim. Put in the nyturbo sim, edit iccid, wait for couple minutes, pull it out and put in your real sim, done. It is unlocked until you factory reset the phone.

Got it, my understanding is that the newer ones have the pop up menu like yours does. The one I bought does not have a pop up menu.

I found instructions for the unlock SIMs that don't have the pop up menu on this ebay listing

Please be aware the ICCID can change at anytime and sometimes the ICCID on the chip will have to be edited before doing the unlock. Once updated it will unlock your device.**

To edit the ICCID use a unlocked device.
Go to settings -> Cellular -> SIM Applications ->EDIT ICCID ->EDIT ICCID

The only problem is that I don't have an unlocked iphone to edit the iccid on the chip

Basically you use an unlocked iphone to change the iccid on the chip then you move the chip to the locked iphone and it automatically programs it with that iccid

If you don't have an unlocked iphone then pay a bit extra for the one that has a pop up menu
