HF has their backpack sprayer on sale. Normal price $30, typically $20 before they phased out coupons. Now you gotta wait for sales to buy at coupon price so... Here it is.

I use mine to spray Bifen to kill mosquitos.

Leaks after a few uses. End up with puddles of toxic chemicals on the garage floor. You get what you pay for.

Depending on how much you need to spray, the Ryobi 18v is decent. I mix up a gallon or two per spray and since there is no need to pump it goes pretty fast.

I 2nd that - expensive but worth every penny

But I recommend bifen 7.9 from Amazon to anyone who has insect issues

How is the Bifen working? Have you compared it to Talstar?
I'd like to hear more about this too. My only use case is for spraying Talstar to control mosquitos in my yard. Curious if Bifen is any better.

As an aside, I've been spraying the Talstar successfully with this HF unit for the past 2 years without issue; it only broke due to the recent Great Texas Freeze. But I agree I hate the straps; it's had a nice run but I'm ready to pay a little more for something better.

What other sprayer do you recommend?

Any commercial type backpack will be fine, $100 range usually suffices.

I've had this sprayer for a couple of years now and it works fine. I got mine when they were $20 too and I can't complain for that price. I had to use plumbers tape on all the connections to keep it from leaking but other than than it's been good. I use it about once a month during spring/summer.

Had one for 5 years. Bought a much more expensive sprayer to replace it... Can't really tell the difference...

If you have a yard with access to a hose, this is way faster to spray chemical if you got a big yard Hose attachement [homedepot.com]

If this would work for pesticide and other lawn treatments I would rather go this route.

Are there chemicals that this attachment can't do?

I don't see why not? As long as it is liquid. Basically, pour whatever pesticide or chemical you use into the plastic container hanging on bottom. Then adjust the setting wheel (I watched manufacturer video to find the correct setting), and spray. If you got left over, just pour the entire container back into whatever bottle it originally came from. That is about it.

My last Harbor freight sprayer blew up on me when the seal broke while I was pressurizing it. Won't touch those again

I have a foam attachment for my pressure washer? Think that would work? Genuinely curious lol

Used it once and it broke and unable to returned. Like many others, shoulder strap broke and wand handle leaks.

Save your money and look elsewhere.

I bought one last year. It leaked new because of pinched O-rings, but it did come with extras. I used it for watering plants I couldn't get a hose to until they established. I am overall happy with the price for my use, but I wouldn't want to use it for chemicals.

H2O (along with everything else) = chemical.

Just giving you a hard time.
