HF has their backpack sprayer on sale. Normal price $30, typically $20 before they phased out coupons. Now you gotta wait for sales to buy at coupon price so... Here it is.

I use mine to spray Bifen to kill mosquitos.

Leaks after a few uses. End up with puddles of toxic chemicals on the garage floor. You get what you pay for.

Oh and be sure to test it with water only then once you determine there are no leaks, go ahead and use whatever.

You also claimed this was roughly equal to an 80 dollar sprayer. I am disagreeing from a poosition of knowledge and comparison.

The lever / pump arm alone is a huge improvement on the field king.

Correct. I said if used and cared for properly, this sprayer will complete the same task as an $80 sprayer.

I have more expensive sprayers, that work much better. If you need a sprayer to use a couple times, or if running a particularly nasty mix and don't want to foul your main sprayer, you won't find a better deal.

I use sprayers a lot and wouldn't ever consider one of these. But if you only need to use a few times per year, this would be ok. Be sure to 'baby' this unit, meaning don't leave it pressurized, don't leave any mixtures sitting in it, and rinse really well when done, rinse tank and run clean water through line and wand also. Store it upside down too so it can dry well

Yes, this is exactly the maintenance routine required to keep the $20 plastic sprayer working. 2 years strong. 💪

Bought one last fall. After a couple uses the wand started leaking along a seam. I used JB Weld to seal it and have continued to use it this spring.
As others have said, the shoulder straps are garbage. The material is so abrasive it's very difficult to even get this thing on your back. The struggle has caused one side of the strap to detach a few times so I opt to carry the thing instead - which isn't ideal because the unit requires near continuous pumping to maintain pressure.
I would categorize this as barely serviceable. That should not come as a surprise at $20.

Even though the stipulations show that the coupon can not be used with sale or discount items, I was able to use my ITC 30% on the 20$ sprayer to get it for 13.99$.

What other sprayer do you recommend?

I recently bought this one - not a slick deal but has a 5 year warranty with lifetime free replacement parts. It's sturdy and relatively comfortable.

I recently bought this one for $69 (with $5 HD coupon). Seems like the same design but with the pump built inside to avoid leaks:

This thing is a piece of junk. I had one and the handle broke the first time I used it. If you have TSC near you, this is way better - https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc...ayer-60104

Bought it for Biden 7.9% compare and save. It's uncomfortable to wear and the strap hardware is garbage. Plastic clips one side broke so I had to tie it. I wouldn't get this again tbh

But I recommend bifen 7.9 from Amazon to anyone who has insect issues

If you have a yard with access to a hose, this is way faster to spray chemical if you got a big yard Hose attachement [homedepot.com]

How is the Bifen working? Have you compared it to Talstar?

Depending on how much you need to spray, the Ryobi 18v is decent. I mix up a gallon or two per spray and since there is no need to pump it goes pretty fast.

My experience with this HF sprayer was pretty bad. Bought it a couple years ago. Took it out of the box, put it together and filled it with Clorox and water to spray my boat. Pumped it up and started spraying only to find that there was a perfect little hole in the wand that sprayed straight up. It was obviously a manufacturing defect that showed these things are not quality checked before leaving the factory. You can't take it back but they give you a number to call. Called the number and they sent me a whole new sprayer. Great! Except after the two weeks it took to get the new one, that one leaked badly from the bottom dripping down my leg. I tried tightening up all fittings but it still leaked. I threw them both in the trash and went and bought one from Home Depot that was not much more expensive, and I've had it since with no problems at all, and I spray everything from Clorox to insecticides to herbicides. I'm not a Harbor Freight hater, and have had good luck with some stuff from there, but this is something I would not ever buy from them again.

Learned this the hard way. Never used it once but they would not take it back.

I returned it because the back straps are PURE garbage. I'm sure so many people have spilled chemicals because the straps are so bad.

If you fill out a form stating what's wrong they send out a check for full amount
