Ryzen 3 5300U, Ryzen 5 5500U and Ryzen 7 5700U are actually ZEN 2​ based
Ryzen 3 5400U, Ryzen 5 5600U and Ryzen 7 5800U and some more are real ZEN 3 based.

I think it is a good laptop for someone doing regular activities, such as typing up papers, surfing the net, and maybe some light gaming. I would have gotten this for a relative but I purchased them a laptop several months back. And I don't know of anyone who is in need of one.

I've been looking at every laptop the last week. This only one that seems priced great and name brand, with great CPU decent igpu and is expandable . It was just released

That 4gb of ram soldered makes this a hard sell unless you never plan on upgrading. No USB-C either which isn't ideal, so you're stuck with the barrel connector for charging. Pretty basic machine with a good processor for a nice price, but this is really a "you get what you pay for" situation, and any specific use cases would likely need more ram. This is fine for a student who will take notes and watch videos on it, but they probably can't watch with a friend since TN screens typically have poor viewing angles.

Keep in mind, the 5500U is mostly a 4000 Series Chip rebanded....
