The curved display isn't as bad as curved displays of the past, but that's not the biggest issue.
I've owned this phone for 11 months. Since the Android 11 update, it has been pretty much unusable. System UI keeps crashing, it seems to be a well known issue but it hasn't been fixed in the couple months it's been happening.

Just wanted to let everything know.
Is your phone also Verizon? Were you able to unlock the boot loader?
I think it is good for the price. But others complain about OS and stability about OP. So, I decided not to buy. It is pity to see there is only iPhone and Samsung (and Google, perhaps) that most people buy (outside China).

I had One+ one and two. Same problem. They didn't fix their known bugs. They just moved on and didn't care. Totally Chinese company's mentality

It is unfortunate we only have the 3 major brands here, now that LG has left the phone business. LG is my favorite actually, due to the focus they put on sound while the others fight over their cameras. Zzz
BTW OP, probably doesn't really matter but title has an error.
The fast, flowing, smooth experience of the glacial green OnePlus 8 128GB 5G UW Smartphone is highlighted by a contoured body design, curved 6.55" Fluid AMOLED Display, and 90 Hz refresh rate
I agree with you. The 8T is the only recent OnePlus phone I would consider because it doesn't have a curved screen.
I have the 1+8 256gb/12gb 5G unlocked from Amazon using T-Mobile network since it came out a year ago. I have Wi-Fi calling issues so I just use VoLTE, trouble with screenshot instant view so I just go to photos & very rarely crashes with the game I play. Knowing those issues & workarounds I'm good with it for the price/performance.

It's tmobile. I am going to root as soon as the warranty is over in one month. It sounds like they may replace it so I'll do that first.
