Quick reminder: the Zone Diet was never intended to be a low carb diet. Instead, it targets 40% carbohydrates, 30% protein, and 30% fat (often written as 40:30:30).

Is the Zone Diet a good diet? I am not aware of any scientific evidence that it is. But anyway, the higher carb content is by design. If you're sharply restricting carbs, you are not doing the Zone diet, and Zone meals are probably a bad choice for you.
