With their constant solicitation calls, emails, letters, and ads in my vehicle for a very poor quality radio service, I'll pass, even when free.

The bitrate is about 64 kbps for music and 32 kbps for talk on Sirius.
The bitrate on Spotify HIFI/Tidal Masters is 320 kbps CD quality for lossless audio.

Use an app, connect a cable, and ditch the garbage audio of Sirius. (FM radio is 96 kbps)

The bitrate is probably somewhere between 24–48 kbps depending if the AAC variant is based on v1 or v2 of the HE codec. The sample rate of the played back audio is likely 32 kHz or 44.1 kHz which will yield 16–22 kHz of audio bandwidth.

Worked for two Hondas... use a unique (or misspelled ) name if you've previously been an active customer.

It's not a fun process to cancel. I had to call, and then the call was transferred to a chat service. It took about 30 minutes of chatting to get them to finally cancel the service. I wouldn't resubscribe even if free.
You can cancel via chat but you need to be forceful. They will try to ask you questions and make offers. I had to be downright rude to not end up in a 15 minute back and forth.

Signed up for a 3 month free trial, no credit card. I had only used the free year that came with my new vehicle purchase.

Only new customers. Tried VIN, Radio ID, etc. Nothing. Not eligible. Anyone know a work around?

I hate the sound quality also… wonder why they haven't upgraded this yet?! All these years and nothing new on the technology side 🙄
Have to agree, the sound quality has continued to diminish with the cramming in of more channels. Some channels are passable, at best, while others are unusable. Like listening to old AM radio. Even some of the talk channels sound like streaming compression from the 90s where it has been taken down so low you can easily hear the compressive distortions.

Easiest way to cancel is to tell them you sold the car. 2 minutes and your done.

I told them that I drove my car off a cliff with my remaining family members in it and was arrested and convicted of murder and am not allowed to have a radio device in prison. Shit got cancelled really fast! LMAO

Just say you are moving to NYC and selling the car, they won't push after that

Been using SiriusXM for years, definitely some channels have better quality than others. Most, if not all, of the ones I listen to have good quality coming though my higher end car stereos. I typically sign up for a 12 month special, after having to call and threatening to cancel one a year.

I'm confused are some people are calling and needing to be cancelled, or getting charged, when no credit card is needed for this and the subscription automatically ends after 3 months? What am I missing?

That was the part I did not understand either. I found mine activated after buying a slightly used car and signing up for the Mazda app. I never gave any CC info so not sure how they would manage to charge for it.

I second most of these other opinions. Ilike the Beatles and lithium channels. But the DJ's are the cringiest aging hipsters. Like, just play the music, we don't need some 65 year old retired kroq Dj mouth breathing into the mic. I do like doctor radio as well, but even that has gone downhill in the past few years.

Better yet, tell them you were only allowed to make 1 phone call, so you used it wisely to call Sirius XM. laugh out loud

Even though many S XM channels don't have advertisement, I consider those annoying aging hipster DJs as advertisers and I quickly change the station. I agree that we don't need their worthless opinion on whatever they're discussing. Just play music like the apps do!
