In my experience yes. I had broken 2 or three Fiskars' loppers, so I bought a Cortana at $60 with longer handles about 3-4 years ago. I have not broken the Cortana yet and replacement parts are available (I lost a screw/nut combo and bought a replacement set). . Fiskers does not have replacement parts.

Fiskars are made pretty cheap in general. One of the arms bent into an arch shape on the last pair of Fiskar loppers I bought the first time using them. I have a pair of 20+ year old loppers that still work great and are well make. The Coronas look to be much better quality and well made, they are also 10" longer than the Fiskars and cut up to a 2" diameter (both very significant) vs. the Fiskar's 1 1/2".

Is this actually any better than the equivalent Fiskars model (https://www.amazon.com/Fiskars-91...B000BX1IB6 )? They look very similar and the Fiskars is under $30.

You can get the Corona Dual-Link Bypass Loppers at Lowe's for around the same price. IMO, better loppers. I have that particular model, and it's a beast for chomping up sticks and brush into bits.

What the heck... I really like my Fiskars loppers.... and these are suppose to be even better quality... we'll see. I think I may have a lopper addiction.

Nowhere on that link it says that these are manufactured in the US.
For what it's worth, my corona bypass hand pruners are assembled in Mexico from parts manufactured in Mexico, USA, China and Taiwan.

Corona garden tools are of a decent quality and will last for a while with a proper care. Certainly not Swiss made felcos, but you have to pay a premium for that kind of quality.

Fiskars has an excellent lifetime warranty. Go to www fill out form and send in pic. They send you a new one.
