As someone who works for them, I'll add some details about uBreakiFix. We have a 90 day nationwide warranty for repairs that does NOT cover accidental damage if you drop and crack your phone. When we do repairs on Samsung/Apple OEM/Google devices such as in a screen repair or battery, we use OEM parts and adhesives, as well as press pads, so when you get your phone back it should be water resistant still, especially for Samsung's.
"Samsung's Helping Those Who Help Us Promotion (the "Promotion") will provide eligible First Responders, Healthcare Professionals, Physicians, Nurses, EMTs, Medical Staff, Hospital Staff, Nursing Home Staff, Pharmacists, Law Enforcement, Firefighters, Teachers."
What about retail workers, cab drivers, truck drivers, bus drivers, auto mechanics. etc. that help the Eligible' get to their jobs and bring food to their tables including during the pandemic.
I have very little to complain about from the two UBIF locations near me on Long Island. The owner is the one who sets the standard for the repair quality and overall culture. The ones here usually have some scifi movie playing on the screen (almost always Star Wars) and the workers are usually gamers.
I have had my store do three repairs total for a Note 8 and Note 9; two were under warranty. Waterproof seals were restored (its just some gasket material thats included in the OEM repair kit), and all in all, it was all finished in about an hour and a half. Mind you, in the agreement, they *own* all of your broken parts after the repair, even if it was not under warranty. That irked me because I am used to demanding parts back to prove the repair, but it is indeed on the receipt.
Important to note: ALL samsung screen repairs by default include a new battery. That fix by itself is usually $90.
Anyone have luck? I tried and got this error, " At this time we are unable to verify you as eligible for promotional pricing. If you feel this is an error, please try the redemption process again."
Ubreakifix is a bad company you bring in warranty work and they tell you it's not covered under warranty
I sent my laptop under warranty work and the broke the keyboard
YMMV but I had a good experience with them. I had Google pixel not working and called Google for warranty support only to find out it is out of warranty just week after 12 months hit. Then went to UBIF and just want to know how much they charged me. Few days after they told me it's the processor. They took care of it, replacing the processor, and went out not a penny from me.
( processor still under warranty to my surprise). So yeah just my experience
Do they do any work on the back on the phone? Front and back of my s10+ is destroyed
Have an appointment today, only the back of my phone is cracked so I don't think it will qualify but it's a cheaper repair so hoping they'll still give it. I'll report back.

I took advantage of this deal when it was completely free for healthcare workers. It's worth it even for $50 because a new screen with a Samsung S10 Plus phone is about $200. I had just cracked my phone on concrete and the damage was fairly severe. The repair man told me the waterproof was still intact. I've had no problems and certainly I've had water exposure with the device. Highly recommend
