As someone who works for them, I'll add some details about uBreakiFix. We have a 90 day nationwide warranty for repairs that does NOT cover accidental damage if you drop and crack your phone. When we do repairs on Samsung/Apple OEM/Google devices such as in a screen repair or battery, we use OEM parts and adhesives, as well as press pads, so when you get your phone back it should be water resistant still, especially for Samsung's.
fark this store. I scheduled it via Samsung as the local store by me, and when I get down there I get refused saying "we don't honor Samsung care"
Well then why did the Samsung system let me book it at you?!?!?!
Had to cancel my repair request, and then what does the Samsung site tell me when trying to book a new one? You are not eligible for this promo because you've already used it.

This is simply not true. I had replaced cracked screen on 3 months old Samsung S8 (bought straight from Samsung.com) at authorized service center uBreakiFix. Paid over $200 at the time and took it to the beach a month later. Phone had water damage in less than 3 minutes. Dead. Samsung and uBreakiFix denied warranty. Opened it myself later and saw uneven adhesive tape, water marks everywhere. So definitely not even close to factory.

Then the store has incompetent repair techs. The materials provided to us are supposed to be used correctly, and everyone at my store knows how to put a phone back together. It's not a hard thing to do, and the adhesive kits provided to us align perfectly with the screw holes on the rear cover of the device. Regardless of that, water "resistance" certainly does not mean it won't get damaged by water, especially at a beach. With situations like these, the repair should have been done properly, but at the same time neither store/operator is liable for any water damage. For instance, if I put my in-warranty Note 20 Ultra in water and it gets damaged due to this, the warranty will not cover this, even though Samsung advertises the device as water resistant
Can someone confirm even if back panel has cracks can they fix front screen for S8? I'm mailing Samsung TX area. If anyone has faced same issue and have some answer please respond
Samsung repairs are all-or-nothing, so they would most likely repair the back glass for full price (around $59.99), plus the $50 screen repair price
I am prior Military and my Wife is a school teacher. Do any of you if I have to have her register on Samsung and submit the request or can I do it through my Samsung account?
Thanks, got my note 10+ fixed! The techs were great and my phone is beautiful again. They also put in a new battery and a new frame/buttons all included. Looks brand new!
I could not get this to work. Samsung site doesn't even show my S8 phone under the Samsung Repair Services as a product despite it being registered in my account profile on the website. Maybe because my Manufacturer Warranty Expired. It even tells me "Congrats! You are eligible to proceed with a discounted repair. Click Start Repair Service below to continue." Tried doing a direct repair on the product from the Samsung website, and the local store quoted me the $200 price.
Just rescheduled my repair. Went into the ubreakifix location near me and they told me that reparing the cracked camera glass was mandatory for the screen repair since it would fail the water protection leak test. They wanted to charge an additional $100 to fix that.
I ordered the glass from ebay for $10 and will replace myself. Hopefully they don't give me a hard time about me making the prior repair when I return.
