As someone who works for them, I'll add some details about uBreakiFix. We have a 90 day nationwide warranty for repairs that does NOT cover accidental damage if you drop and crack your phone. When we do repairs on Samsung/Apple OEM/Google devices such as in a screen repair or battery, we use OEM parts and adhesives, as well as press pads, so when you get your phone back it should be water resistant still, especially for Samsung's.
students are eligible - i just took mine in for repair and the receipt shows the promotional price. Log in your account and then click the link from the slickdeal post.
Had my S9 repaired yesterday for the advertised price. Took them almost all of 2 hours. They did break the back glass while taking the phone apart so they replaced that too, free of charge. I was in the waiting room the last few minutes before they gave me my phone back and I heard the repair person ask the other employee if I had come in with a cracked back glass (I had NOT, it was perfect)... this was asked behind a closed door, but I could still hear them talking. Luckily the other guy had obviously seen my phone before taking it and attested to my back glass being good before going in. Feel like the person doing the repair cracked my glass while doing the repair and was going to try to push the cost to me but luckily that didn't happen. Ended up getting a new phone basically... same old internals, but new front glass, new back glass, new battery. Only thing I would say is the new screen is slightly darker than my old one? Not sure if it's just placebo tho. Phone works perfectly tho, I was very satisfied.
Has the s9 been repaired before? If so the first repair may've used an LCD to save money and not OLED - unsure if s9 uses OLED but that could be why the screen seems darker.
Same experience. What a stupid online system. Seriously? I did the chat which was useless. And did the phone call and was also useless. They're telling me it'll magically work in 24 hours. Yeah I would bet big money on that not changing past 24 hours. I hate these stupid employees who just want to get rid of the customers talking to them.
Mine says it's not eligible but it has my school district on the top showing its school related.
fark this store. I scheduled it via Samsung as the local store by me, and when I get down there I get refused saying "we don't honor Samsung care"
Well then why did the Samsung system let me book it at you?!?!?!
Had to cancel my repair request, and then what does the Samsung site tell me when trying to book a new one? You are not eligible for this promo because you've already used it.
Tried calling Samsung and got no where.
Same exact issue... I called Samsung and believe it or not wasted 2 hours of my life only to realize they are farming their customer service to Philippines or some other non-English speaking country and the level of service provided is not only deplorable but borderline ridiculous... How is it possible that this company has somehow been able to compete with the likes of Apple for so long is beyond my comprehension!?!?

No, it was the original OLED screen. The difference isn't large honestly, might just come down to panel variance.
I will agree with the consensus that their name should be changed to "UBreakWeBreakMore" - s21 ultra was "repaired" in less than an hour and now it won't read my sim card.
Called Samsung to reschedule because it wasn't allowing me to online. Samsung says I need to call UBIF because Samsung doesn't have records of appointments. I told them I have a ticket number issued by Samsung for the purpose of contacting Samsung regarding service issues but Samsung says they have no idea what that number is.
So I call UBIF to reschedule but apparently they are 'walk in' only and aren't taking appointments and have no records of my appointment. The guy rudely told me to call Samsung for a repair discount if I didn't want to pay $250 for a screen repair and then hung up.
The Samsung website was a joke. Would confirm eligibility but everytime I tried scheduling a repair it would only offer to mail away to Samsung and not any of the 6 UBIF stores in the area. After 2 days, 3 calls and speaking to 5 different departments they finally manually generated an appt reservation at the nearest store.
My note 8 had a cracked front screen, broken glass back and screen burn in on the LCD. As some have already mentioned apparently the Note 8 has many connected parts because not only did I get a new screen but they replaced the LCD and battery. They even replaced the back glass at no cost.
Cant complain about essentially getting a brand new Note 8 after 4 years for $50+tax. To top it off about 2 hours later Samsung sent a thank you text with a link to a $20 promo code toward anything $20 or more on their site.

Sent it back to them to get it fixed AGAIN.
