Was lucky enough to get this one of the other times it was this price and it has come in handy more than a few times already. It's really easy to use to get Engine Error Codes without having to got to AAP to borrow theirs. It does a lot more than that but that alone makes it completely worth it! I've had it for a little over 3.5 years now and keep it in the glove box and have had no issues with it! I use it with Torque(Lite) on Android which is free. Thanks for posting OP! Rep'd!

Have you tried using it with the live gauges in torque light to see how fast the refresh rate is? Curious because I know it can vary with these adapters.

Patiently waiting for a good android tablet to use this pupper. I could buy an android phone but I'd like to mount the tablet in my car so i can see it in real time. My car is old btw

These are a about as good as you are going to get in the "cheap" price range, but like all other cheap obd2 dongles, it uses a ripoff/counterfeit pic controller. Google "pic elm327 fake 1.5v" for details

this is fine for clearing codes and occasionally monitoring certain values, but it's too slow for real-time monitoring of multiple values. for that, you want one with BT 4.0 or wifi.

Not sure if you know about FORScan but you can read everybody module, abs, transmission and engine codes. Only downside it's only good for Ford and Mazda vehicles but you can do practically all the thing that a dealer can. Gas and Diesel 6.0 and 7.3 engines

Thats the only downside for forscan its only for ford and mazda for enhanced obd2 codes. If you know the pids for your vehicle you can always put it in manually with any software
