This is THEEE slowest and one of the shortest range wifi 6 systems out there, so I can never recommend this unless its around $100. You will be lucky to break 200Mbps with these guys on average with your devices with a max of usually 300Mbps if you get lucky......

To put that into perspective the TP-Link Deco M9 averages around 500Mbps at all times even 15-30ft away from a node its still over 350Mbps....

Just to add another perspective I almost always recommend the new wifi 6 systems now over the older wifi 5 cause its time for the upgrade, so that says a lot that I would still not purchase this wifi 6 system over the older M9+ wifi 5 system.

I would not use this unless your max speed was around 200Mbps since it cant even reliably hit 300Mbps.

Just to clear your statement up, the Triband Velops were one of the best top 3 with Orbi and Deco. What your referring to is the dual band Velops and the single triband mixed with dual band packs, they were utter trash cause the dual band Velops were as mentioned trash trash trash. If you had a set of tribands no issues and extremely fast speeds.

I don't care what brand mesh you might be considering, but DO NOT EVER buy a Linksys velop system. Worst product I've ever dealt with in my 30+ years of networking.. complete trash in every way, including the software they force upon you.

Not Pro version, not worth it...

I have set up 3 of the Eero Pro 5's at my place and my girlfriend's. Either get the Pro 5 3-pack on sale or wait for the Pro 6 3-pack to drop in price. These non-Pro versions lack the extra backhaul band that makes a mesh setup truly efficient. The dual-band and worse coverage on these non-Pro versions make them much worse than the tri-band and better coverage on the Pro versions.

The triband with Ethernet backhauling is nice for TP link. The only advantage I can tell that this eero has is the new wifi 6 standard, which has a lot of nice to haves but not many devices even support it.

I currently have FiOS gig internet and have their new WiFi 6 router and 2 network extenders that are also Verizon branded with WiFi 6 on each floor. I have some spotty areas though. Can I simply add these to my existing network and keep the same SSIDs and all that or is this more of a replacement?
