I do 15k intervals on my cars, 3 of them, my longest is @ 175k miles, doesnt miss a beat.
my motorcycles I do 4-5 year intervals, 5 year shelf life on the oil and I only put like a thousand a year on the bikes each.
my generac generator I do every 3 years, it runs an hour a month, havnt had any issues.
mower, I will prob rock 5 years, I only have .42 actual lawn so that all summer long and fall, isn't unreasonable.
oh, I also put like 1/8th of a bottle of seafoam in every 5 gallon jug of gasoline that I use in my mowers, it keeps it from gelling up/always working.
Specifications look wrong too ... Says it takes leoch model LPC12-100 batteries which are 100ah and not 75ah, which are about $100 less per battery ... so that's probably how they can shave $400 off the price.
I'm not going to say electric is cheaper, but I don't think it is significantly more expensive.

This site is turning into facebook. Its no longer about good deals its a marketing POS.
10 years as my home page and I can no longer trust the deals here. This isnt a deal. Best price on this in the past was 1k lower. Now 8% off and it pops up as a FIRE DEAL.
I wonder how many others who lived by this site are done or about as done with it as I am. I think most of the comments here are BS placed for sales.
Yeah I can mow 20 acres with this......WTF. Real people are no longer even a part of the conversation here.
The 100AH model needs 4 - lpc12-100 battery of which the generic amazon ones cost $218 + shipping each so $800+ every 3-5 years?
If you're in the market the XT1 LT42e I picked up Saturday was $3999 +tax w/ 2yr 0% financing, no bagging kit but since it's just their standard XT1 chassis most accessories are compatible. I like the fact that I'm mowing electric, and the Lithium Ion batteries should last 7-10 years easy unless you something strange happens and they a 4yr battery warranty out of the gate.
That said I can tell the cubcadet/MTD engineers & assembly line folks don't know squat about electronics, nothing broken out of the box/home from the dealer, but some of the design choices & workmanship are electrical problems waiting to happen. The cable management is poor at best and the new charge port design is a really tight fit with the connector but they didn't reinforce the plastic part steering box where it plugs in so it flexes and feels like it could break, and on the back the wires come out and make a very sharp 90 which is just trouble.
IMHO though Elon just needs to start building lawnmowers.
$1200 cell phones are disposable and not serviceable, other than the screen. They've been out for 20 years, and still can't maintain a charge for an entire day.
Sometimes you just need to step back and see the whole picture. It will be 10 years before lawn services start using electric zero turns.
Even on the gas end of it, you have high end and junk. Guess what Ryobi is probably using for its wheel bearings, steering mechanisms, tires, gauge steel, suspension, and fastener grades.
Electric push mowers are popping up on CL and FBM, next to 15 year old Toro Recycler gas mowers. Guess which are holding their value? One is a toy, the other is a tool.

But $350 in savings is considerable. Even with a $4200 price tag.
The conversations here seem legit. I shared my experience on page 3. Actual experience, not me trying to boost the FP algorithm.
You always see ppl threadcrapping on threads that don't apply to them/ items they don't like.
SD is about getting a good deal on an item. Not about getting the best item for the job/ in the world.
Tired of the "TD that flavor is gross". Or "Td it's not brushless " comments.
If there's a Ryobi impact driver for $10 with battery, that doesn't make it a bad deal because it's not Milwaukee.
This is a good deal, price wise. Not amazing, but good. Worth the conversation with a savings of $350

Also have a Toro 22 recycler which recently just needed a new self propelled belt. I don't mind the noise or smell of gas but also would not mind having a Ryobi 40v push mower to play with. I love battery tools, especially the Ryobi 18V for indoor stuff, however never really understood the people who cram the "gas is dead" spiel on others. In all fairness, I am a DIY type of person and like wrenching on stuff. For someone who isn't, I would also get battery to avoid all the hassle of maintenance. Just buy and replace when it breaks lol.
