I have this mobo, and I strongly dislike it. First off, there were spontaneous resets, which support was not helpful with whatsoever. They took RMA and sent me a replacement, which looked like it came from warzone. Heat sinks were dinged, screws lose, parts missing. Spontaneous resets keep going btw. I finally dug out a setting which would take care of reset issue, no thanks to support, but I still have compatibility issues with USB, unsatisfactory UEFI boot support, and buggy BIOS. I am not happy with this thing at all

I have this motherboard. I'm happy. It overclocks ram at least as well as my ASRock Gaming 4 X570 did.

EDIT: Make sure to use Ryzen DRAM Calculator to get your RAM timings right or it will randomly crash/reset.

Good find, I bought this mobo from Amazon a couple weeks ago for $260. It's worked well w no issues thus far.

I bought 2 of this for me and the wife, great mother board both pared with 3700x and g-skill trident neo 3600mhz. As for msi apps like dragon center, don't do it.

Have this motherboard with a 5950x. I bought it a couple months ago. Works great and have had 0 issues. I was also able to set it to one of the autodetected ram profiles (this is probably the 1 must you need to do in bios)

I have made sure to update all the drivers and firmware via their site.

I have this and have mixed feelings. Little to no spontaneous resets, only when making extreme overclock changes. Runs both nvme drives fast. USB C ports are slow ( just noticed this two days ago). Very slow to get to boot screen. Laggy mouse in BIOS. Not a big fan of BIOS setup, but it gets the job done easily to make changes. MSI removed thunderbolt 3 compatibility and all note of it in the manual, but this was a reason I purchased it. Lighting requires a separate app, MSI dragon.

I have this board. It is very stable with my 5600X and 4x8 GB Ballistix at 3600. But I am dissatisfied with the RGB lighting control (can't switch green and red to match LEDs) and it can only control 2 of 4 RGB ram stix. My support ticket with MSI has gone nowhere. Also 2 separate Logitech USB G433 audio DACs do not work correctly, even with latest USB "fix" bios.

Bought this 2 weeks ago from Walmart to pair with 5900x and gskill 3600 cl16 ram on xmp1. No issues with it so far, but yet to over clock anything.

Msi center which replaced dragon center seems to be a bit better with options to install just the programs you need. I hated the dragon center and was able to use standalone mystic light app on my old b450 gaming carbon board, which doesn't support this x570 tomohawk.
Bought this board as it has among the best VRM running neck and neck with the $600+ boards.

Regarding passive x570 boards, the asus dark hero which sells for $450 has been out for a while and is probably the most popular board now, but for my needs, doubling the budget on the board didn't make sense.

I have the MEG and I bought the Tomahawk for my fathers new build. As these are both my first MSI Mobo's, they will also likely be my last. The hardware is great, but the BIOS and supporting software (MSI Dragon Center) is horrendous. I can't control the RAM RGB through it, half the time it doesnt really even control the Mogo RGB. In the BIOS the only way to set fan curves is in DC mode, PMW just cranks everything to 100%.

So, good overclocking and overall hardware, but terrible supporting software.

I've had this board since late 2020. I've yet to catch the chioset fan running. So far like this much better than the Asrock x570 taichi.

If you keep getting resets with multiple boards, it might not be the board that is the faulty component.
