I like how theres a dude on here preaching about spending more for a mouse that weigh 5 grams less.

People have too much time on their hands.

I must be the only person here who prefers mice with a little weight to them. I've been using a Logitech G5 for years with half the weights 4.5g and the other half 1.7g. Those plus the mouse itself I'm sure is around 130g or so. Using a mouse half'ish that would feel like using a wad of cotton balls.
Yeah, I don't have little baby hands, so I don't know why all these people are talking about light weight mods. I don't want to feel like I'm holding a child's toy.

For productivity I use this cause of insane battery life. However, for gaming it's not preferred due to lack of ergonomics. The Mamba Wireless is $33 at some Walmart's and is my go-to gaming mouse.

At the end of the day, you all can downvote me all you want, but I am bringing you information to educate yourselves. Make your own decision on what best suits you. I just know that those of you in the ultralight world / mod will probably not find this mouse better from a cost perspective then orochi v2.
appreciate the info and the enthusiasm behind it. i understand the validity in using a lighter weight mouse, and it's a fine hobby, but similarly to those who believe in highest framerate monitors possible, the equipment only gets you so far.

if the equipment is what you like and what you want to invest in, go for it. but at the end of the day, better equipment yields rapidly diminishing results, and only practice, strategies, etc. will get you the improvements you need.

you're probably getting some thumbs down because you made it sound like there's only the one mouse for everyone, and that low-weight mods are necessary, when the g305 is plenty light as it is. if that light-weight mod is the difference between fatigue/non-fatigue and missing/making that headshot, i'd be more concerned about your health (muscle mass and bone density). that's why these weight reducing mods are more of a hobby and passion, rather than something that everyone should adopt.

Using this mouse right now and very much enjoy it. I have the 604 as well and use the 305 more as my go to mouse. Got lucky and picked up at Walmart for 20$ on clearance and would certainly purchase for 40$ however once you start breaking that pricing barrier I lean toward the 70-90$ bracket there. Just personal preference. I've used them all but the 305 for me is lightweight and comfortable.

I use this mouse everywhere. The price hits $40 fairly often actually, but never seen it go below that.
I got one for 20 dollars with a mouse pad. It's 33 now. Not sure how good of a deal this is, or maybe I have the wrong mouse.

Ive been on the G305 since it came out years ago. The lack of thumb grip sucks. You def need some grip tape for FPS games. Also bought a AAA adapter for cheap on amazon.

Great mouse for gaming because of the light weight.

Honestly, for 30 dollars more, you're looking at orchi v2, I'm hoping this goes on sale at around black friday as I probably going to pick up 2-3 of them if they go under 60 dollars.

I have 3 G305's, and one modded down to about 72 grams.

They are fine if you are willing to buy the extra mods, but they end up costing as much or more than getting that orochi v2.

The other issue is about size and shape, the orochi v2 might be too small for most people, not sure if the g305 is that much better as it's not really a good palm mouse. I claw, so I can work with just about anything.
What's so good about the Orochi?

Orochi v2, not the original one, seach Dave2D on youtube about his review, and many other review. But at $34, I think this G305 is pretty good

Anyone use these over Remote Desktop or Terminal Server? I have the wired version and since going remote last year, and taking my mouse with me, the command buttons work like 40% of the time. The other 60% they just "type" the letter of the keyboard shortcut. So if I'm trying to use the programmed copy button, I click it and instead of copying the data it types a "c". I've played with the setting so many times over the last 14 months trying to get this to work consistently. It works as intended locally.

Tl;dr: wireless mouse are on par with wire mouse and G305 is what you paid for.

Orochi v2 is similar to Logitech mx anywhere 3. Why not just purchase a brand name mouse?

Yeah we're a dying breed. Kids these days swiss cheese their mice since it's all about being as light as possible. The lightness makes them feel cheap to me.
